Margarito can hit Mayweather with something. I mean **** all of those punches he throws in close he is gonna hit something. Maybe not cleanly but his arms and shoulders can be hit. That stuff wears you out.

Of course it does, but seeing Mayweather handle DLH's pressure who I consider has a FAR more affective one compared to Margarito but lacks the stamina to keep it up without running out of gas and taking DLH's power which he carried all the way to Middleweight then I don't see how he won't be able to handle Margarito. Size will be the only factor here for Mayweather, then again the bigger the his the bigger those targets are and Margarito will be wide open for punches which Mayweather proved with his stamina that he can keep up like Margarito does. If Mayweather runs out of gas late he's OUT, that's guaranteed.

Yes Margarito will definitely land, I get your point, but it's very obvious who will land more and who is more accurate.

When he was scheduled to fight unranked Manuel Gomez in a PPV that made 30K buys despite the solid undercard.

Yes I do and I also know that you can cancel/pull out of a fight when you get a better offer, especially when that very same offer is the one you have been waiting for. Mayweather had no better options at this point so he threw the offer at Margarito and was declined when Margarito could have easily pulled out of it.

Don't you know the business of boxing?, Margarito and team sure had high hopes for the Gomez fight bringing some good numbers.

I skim through that post. My bad but Mayweather is a slick fighter. He aint fast on his feet when he is dodging punches obviously because when he shoulder rolls he is set. I would imagine Margarito hitting him any where he can to wear him out physically. :good

If Mayweather was serious about that mysterious offer why didn't he wait a a couple more weeks
and make the "offer" right after the GOmez fight :huh

Because the Judah fight was still available to take and Floyd wasn't going to waste time waiting when the offer was made months before both guys fought their opponents. Margarito carried on to fight Gomez and 2 months later Floyd fought Judah, even if he did wait you think he will get the fight with Margarito right away?, he will also have to wait a few more months for Margarito to come out of a serious training camp and be ready to start another and in that time frame Floyd was able to fight two opponents and one got him the #1 spot in the division. It's all time consuming and Floyd already had other options to look into.

The better question is why didn't Margarito ditch the fight with Gomez?, Floyd was ready to ditch his planned fight with Judah without any issues. Another better question is did Margarito have any other options to look into?, you think if he did he would've waited?, the answer is no.

Against Williams in the 12th he was spent and had nothing left to offer. Williams looked fresh and out worked Margo to win the 12th.:deal
