    Quite a few actually...He was getting some SERIOUS buzz after the Cintron fight...the first one

    He was getting decent buzz before that as well...not too many knew of him, but his name was out there.

    He KO's Cintron and then all of a sudden becomes a formidable force in the WW division...

    Margarito has actually been pretty big on the scene for quite a while now. His real coming out party came back when he stopped Antonio Diaz for the WBO title in '02. Then, two fights later he put another stamp on the division with his 2nd round knocked out Andrew "six heads" Lewis. He has been very well recognized since that point. Anyone who didn't know Margarito until he fought Williams is either a child, or doesn't follow the sport very well.

    Only by serious boxing fans. His fame that he has now has greatly increased ever since his good fight with PW, even though he loss he got lots more fame from that fight. & when got the fight vs Cotto inked, thats when every boxing fan officially knew who he was.

    Man, not that many ppl in boxing knew AM at that well. just like not that many ppl know who Guzman is right now. Go talk about robots twins or the next Transformers movie.
