Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Emanuel Dapidran Pacquiao: the 1 & only press conference

What a boring conference. Both Floyd and Manny sucked at the podium. Floyd sounded like he was about to cry. I actually felt genuine pity for him). Manny sounded old and boring.

Freddie wa a great but they should have let Floyd Sr. Get on the podium. it need some of Srs poetry for sure.

I expect both fighters to bring it though.

 

Ok, just finished watching it.

My main thoughts: Roach is hilarious. Pacquiao was what I expected. He seems really excited and confident. Was all smiles, laughing, and sly remarks.


MAYWEATHER....

Something seemed...different. He didn't seem right. Idk if something was bothering him or if he was just focused, but I got a weird vibe from him. He didn't seem like he wanted to acknowledge Pac's existence, especially in the last photo op. Idk uncomfortable?? He just didn't seem his normal self. I was sad.

 

Compare how Floyd looked at that press to the other fight conferences he's ever been too. He's clearly off.

 

seemed like he was choked up a bit. I wouldn't take too much away from it though..it's most likely nothing. He sounded the same talking to the showtime interviewers after their last photo op...sounded just fine talking to Atlas outside of the Nokia center.

 

Floyds little speech was actually impressive even though he nearly cried like a baby. He wants this bad, more than pac imo. You can see how much this fight means to him.

exactly thats one thing i took away from it, "omg he is almost in tears" this guy is not going to let another human being beat him, he knows how successful he has been but he knows with the history between he and pac and the last 5 years, it will all be for nothing. for both guys that have both allready made it, this is make it or break it 2.0

 

What the hell are people smoking in here!

The fight is a good 6 weeks away people. Please keep it down at least until the week of the fight.

This is the same guy who was not "almost in tears", this guy cried in the post fight presser against Baldomir! What did we get from that pathetic crying session, nothing! Aside from the retirement vow, which he totally didn't keep at all (d@mn! :yep ), nada...

The Manny interview in First Take is more entertaining to watch than the whole press conference.

 

You can tell as he said he really wants to win this fight. This is a focused floyd.

Never seen Mayweather look so nervous.

But yeah. That was a classy presser. None of the trash talk that's a staple in every other Floyd press con.

Floyd just can't bring himself to trash talk Pac because Pac's so ridiculously polite.
