    People seem to give no credit to Trinidad. He beat Whitaker, who was a defensive fighter like Mayweather. Yes, it wasn't prime Whitaker but he still had something left as he went 12 rounds with Trinidad. Two years earlier, Whitaker arguably beat DLH. A more prime version than the one that Mayweather struggled with.

    My point is Trinidad is not as bad as people make him out to be. He lost to an ATG middleweight in Hopkins and a guy with a difficult style who knew how to neutralize him in Wright. Those guys are nothing like Mayweather, who is much smaller and would need to fight a pretty perfect fight to win because Trinidad was a massive puncher at WW.

    This I agree. Tito would arguably be undisputed at 147, 154, and 160 in this era
