There's no reason to think Floyd wouldn't be in the fight of his life here... Armstrong has quite a knockout percentage and resume, so however wide and wild he seems on film, his volume and tenacity counts for alot here. I question Floyd's ability to be cute and block, roll, and counter under such a nonstop barrage. I'm not saying he couldn't, but he would be pushed. He'd be against the ropes about 80% of the time. Armstrong hit awfully hard at LW and put up an awfully fast pace with crazy volume... I've always felt that's Floyd's kryptonite... Volume, pressure, and relentlessness. Armstrong qualifies for all three in spades. Armstrong mugs his way to a decision or late stoppage.
Armstrong by decision. Relentless, non stop volume. There`s being in great shape and then there`s Henry Armstrong. He would have to be at his peak but I think he has the style to beat Floyd Mayweather.
Armstrong would likely be the busiest fighter Floyd ever fought. The guy was well known for throwing punches non stop from bell to bell. Then again Floyd was extremely fast and tactical particularly at that weight class. Hard to tell.
