IMO would be the best fighter Floyd has ever faced so its hard to gauge how Floyd would do. I think if Floyd goes into this fight with a pure defensive first mentality than Quartey won't like it.

Quartey is going to be underrated here and people are going to assume that the 147 version of Floyd is superior to him, which is a 100% falsity.

Quartey was an elite fighter and big at 147 with a bad style for Floyd behind that great jab and tight guard, as well as his good handspeed and pressure. If people are picking Cotto over Mayweather, they best look at what a prime Quartey had to offer, as he was very much superior to Cotto. The whole former generation of Welter's is underrated and full of excellent, elite level fighters, none of these 'crop of B's' that we have now with 2 elite's at 147.

Quartey by domination and late TKO, Mayweather cannot win rounds against Quartey by pot shotting in a safety first exhibit and he certainly cannot in fight and outwork Quartey.

But watch these Joy Boy's come in here ignorantley and say otherwise.;)

EDIT: Oh look, 5 people just voted Mayweather decision, not knowing otherwise, I'll just assume at least 3 of them are dishonourable Joy Boy's and 2 haven't seen much of a prime Ike and I'll forgive the latter.

   You said ***** fisted Calslappy would knock out and dominate a 43 year old Bernard Hopkins who has fought much better fighters and hasnt been knocked out once in his career. What a stooge you are. Then joking on Mayweather saying he cant beat Ike Quartey.

Like you have any room to question some elses boxing knowledge with your obvious bias. Get the **** out of here with your bull****.

Ike was open to the left hook. Vargas connected with it, delhoya connected with it, oba carr seemed to land with it, hell I even just saw a clip when he was fighting phillips where he was connecting with it. Floyd has one of the best lead left hooks I have ever seen and he would land with ease. Thats why i voted floyd UD simply off that left hook of his.

No, the dumbass said Calslappy would stop Hopkins and made all these ridiculous posts trying to explain how he would do it. Which anyone with the most rudimentary amount of boxing knowledge would know would be impossible for a fighter like Calslappy to do, ESPECIALLY against someone like Hopkins with his tough hide and strong defense. Hell who didnt predict Calslappy would win simply on punch out put? But to say he had a chance of stopping hopkins or dominating hopkins? Then criticize those who favor Floyd over Quartey? He's a ***** plain and simple.

who didnt predict calslappy would win? Well by reading this board about a month ago a lot of people predicated a hopkins win. REMEMBER CALZAGHE WAS ONLY A 2-1 FAVORITE GET IT RIGHT MAN.

Hopkins pulled a ***** move so he may have very well been stopped since Calzaghe was turning up the heat, so this post is not a good example of how to discredit Amsterdamn.
