jmm is not an easy pick for top fighters at 140 and down but for top fighters at 147, admit it, he is.

    :happy

The 2 best technical boxers will play the highest level of chess there is, the violent kind.

If the layoff hasnt affected Floyd much then I think Marquez is about to be techically outboxed for the 1st time.

I`ll TRY not to get too excited until the fight has been signed... we all know Floyd.

People are too blinded by the star power of this match-up to see this is going to be a boring one-sided fight.

Whats the matter with you ****in people ?
You are never happy... we want FMJ back, it looks like happening.
We want him to face the elite, JMM is right there with Pac as the top 2 p4p.
He should be applauded for not taking a warm up before going in against an on fire JMM.
So what if Floyd has a slight size advantage, this fight will be mainly a skillfest between 2 excellent technicians + at least Mayweather is back, even most non-Mayweather fans want him back, he is the finest boxer in the sport.
A while back there was a poll of who would win between these 2 & even tho FMJ won, JMM had a fair amount of believers too.

I cant wait, I hope this happens.
Once he is back, those other fights you want so bad should happen, quit being negative & worrying.

I never said I wanted him to box again. I never liked the way he picked the lesser opponents of the division. I knew the night that JMM won that Floyd would fight him. JMM is a smaller guy who Floyd does everything better than. I knew he would pick him to fight. Best guy and least challenge he could find.

    Whats wrong with you ?
Mayweather is the best boxer since Whitaker/Chavez.

There is a sport called cricket, not my cup of tea, you should check it out tho.

What a fraud. He whined that Cotto wasn't a big enough name last year and ducked him. Now he wants to fight a 37 yr old and force him to move up two weight classes. Marquez is no where near the draw Cotto is. What an absolute total fraud is fraud mayweather.

Why is Pac a hard fight and jmm not? JMM is a a hard fight for anyone espeically after a 2 year lay off without a warm up.

JMM is my favourite active fighter but I don't give him much of a chance in this one.
I think 140 might be a step too far for him anyway (he could probably still make featherweight) but anything above that gives his opponent too much of an advantage.
I'd love it if JMM pulled off a miracle - because him beating Floyd at 147 would be exactly that.

Well, it wasn't the kind of challenge everyone hoped for. Sure JMM is an elite fighter, but compared to Pac, JMM has never beaten anyone at 147.

Face it, JMM is a smaller, slower guy who is also quite old. They are hiding this fact behind the reality that JMM is one of the best in the world today.

On paper, it looks like JMM stands a solid chance for an upset, but no way does he have the firepower to take away Floyd. Plus he's fighting a guy who will never take a forward step making him the aggressor, which is really not JMM's best suite. The few times he faced elite fighters aggresively, he ended up kissing the canvas (Pac, Barrera)

I would have preferred Floyd taking on Mosley. That's the fight worth talking about.

Pac beat a weight drained De La Hoya though its not like hes beaten a load of quality welters. He hasn't even beaten a quality lightweight. This isn't having a go at Pac its just people are saying pacs a challenge and JMM isnt when both are basically in the same boat.
