Actually I love boxing and warriors. That is why I do not like the way Floyd acts. He is more interested in running his mouth about how great he is than proving it in the ring, and all the warrios of the past tried to be great and put their all out, why shouldn't he if he claims he is the best. I watched boxing in the era of Hagler and Hearns and when you see that quality who fight everyone, you sort of expect that. I would think if you want handpicking fighters and guys who brag, then you would like this era. I like eras where the best fight the best, and Floyd has not done that. It is an insult on all the greats in the past to think you can handpick smaller guys who you know you can beat and then say you are great. Why did the guys in the past have to fight their heart out to be great if it is that easy to do?

 

July 18th is only 3 months away it seems like a real short time period to promote Floyd's comeback fight.

 

if this is really true, jmm pulled a 1-up against pac on this one. the script was supposed to be pac-floyd if pac beats hatton. now we have a new twist and it would be pac-hatton winner vs. floyd-jmm winner. i'm glad that jmm could get the biggest payday that he deserves.

Still a good fight for him. He gets public sympathy and promotion, makes money, doesn't take too much punishment against a pot-shotter, and is in line for another mega payday against the Pac-Hatton loser.

Floyd probably wants to go the distance and work on his timing, Marquez is a good guy to do that against. Marquez doesn't push a pace, and he is skilled enough to punish Mayweather for mistakes, but not powerful enough to hurt him. This should be a championship-class sparring session for half the rounds. Floyd will surely dominate in ring generalship, which is ideal for a tune-up, he can try new things and fight in any area of the ring.

Marquez is at the point of aging overnight any given fight, so there's no room for the Edwin Valero's of the world, this is probably the second biggest payday available outside of Hatton, so you can't blame him.

Just like the cherry picker he has always been.....Fighting a ****ing lightweight justice would be Marquez beating the **** out of PBF I just cant see it happening though.

 

If it happens at 140 lbs, it just may be possible.......

......Marquez is more than skilled enough, and as his fight showed with Diaz, more than has the stamina to push a pace that Mayweather may not be comfortable with.

.......a deteriorated DLH was blocking alot of Mayweather's incomings when they fought, I would imagine that JMM who is still fighting at a high level, can defend better than DLH.....and unlike DLH, actually find Mayweather to counter clean.


At 140-142, do not count JMM out!

I will guarantee you folks one thing......if JMM starts to get into a rhythm and is outboxing Mayweather early as did Zab Judah.........Marquez is in another stratosphere compared to Zab Judah when it comes to mentally staying focused for the duration of a fight.
