140lbs & lower I'd take a "prime" Chavez.

 

Chavez overrated

Has losses to Pernell Whitaker, Taylor, and his first loss was handed to him by a lesser boxer than Mayweather

Chavez sucks.

 

Mayweather wins 9 rounds to 3. In a fight that plays out in simmilar fashion to Whitaker/Chavez. Hopefully there would be better judges.

Chavez late TKO...Meldrick Taylor was more active than Floyd...he went in on Chavez and he weathered the storm...although Mayweather is more techinically sound than taylor...still, Chavez would touch his chin...no doubt.

Lol he's much better than the European fighters that you pull out of your ass on a daily basis.

 

Last i heard, he beat Taylor, and no shame in losing to the greatest defensive fighter of that era (and arguably of all time), who would completely embarass any of your euro fighters around that same division. The same euro fighters who would have their faces disfigured and be pissing blood for weeks if they'd go up against a prime Chavez.

As for the thread question, this is a pick em fight...could go either way IMO.
