So smart sparring partners would just have to go in guns blazing and work a short day? :patsch Damned. He sounds like he must have some talent to get as far as he did with that work ethic. What a waste. Very sad.

I won't hate on Floyd for this fight, if it happens. Anything is a downer compared with the Pacquiao fight, but that's water under the bridge.

But Cintron answers two criticisms: 1) Floyd won't fight a real WW; 2) Floyd won't fight anyone with a punch.

I think Kermit can give Floyd some trouble if he works off the jab, but ultimately he doesn't have the skills to hang. Still, all things considered, I'd be totally OK with this.

i think this could be a compelling fight. cintron height ,power and overall athelitism might be more trouble then some people think. and plus cintron has troble with pressure fightes. PBF is no pressure fighter. i think this fight is a good fight. cleatly PBF by UD should be the popular pick but to right cintron off totally is wrong

this ^ i agree. except the bit where cintron has a magical jab which can catch greatest deffensive boxer of this era. cintron i feel only has a KO chance but then again thats not very big

Jabbing Mayweather isn't to land; it's to keep him out of rhythm. ODLH wasn't tagging Floyd with jabs, but he bothered him just by throwing the one punch consistently that Floyd will struggle to counter against a bigger man.

This is why I've been saying for years that Paul Williams would beat Floyd, because he throws so many punches, and Floyd is the antithesis of a take-one-to-give-one fighter.

I agree. Cintron is a good fighter when he's allowed to relax and target his punches. He doesn't do well under incoming fire, but Mayweather doesn't like to fight at a pace that will bother him. If he stays on balance and fights tall, he can take some rounds off Floyd.

Still don't think he has more than puncher's chance of actually winning, though.

I think Floyd will fight on the inside for most of the fight and eat at Cintron from the inside...once Cintron tires I think Floyd will take advantage outside and start throwing lead right hands floyd ud 118-110

I don't think there is any reason to hate on Floyd for this pick. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Floyd lover, but it seems by picking Cintron, he is addressing the criticisms laid against him. Criticisms of: He doesn't fight anyone at welterweight or he doesn't fight anyone who can hit hard. I think Cintron covers both as he is a big welterweight who can fight at junior middleweight and he has an outstanding KO record due to his devastating one punch KO power.

This will be a good test for Floyd to see if he can handle the power and hang in there with a welterweight. It is not my first choice for him (I would have chosen Timothy Bradley myself), but I won't hate on him for this choice (at least he didn't pick Paulie Malignaggi).

Floyd wins by easy UD, he simply has too much skill.

This will be just like the corrales fight. Floyd will school cintron. People will make excuses agen though. After all his one fight with someone smaller than him people said he ONLY fights smaller fighters despite marquez bein no.2 p4p. Well they cant say hes fightin a smaller fighter if he fights cintron. Those who make excuses wat more do use want. If it wasnt for pac they wud still be fightin.

Cintron will not be running the day of the weigh in to cut weight and then coming in drained.
