Floyd Mayweather Jr. .Vs. Meldrick Taylor

Floyd broke his hands at 130, they have always been brittle. He's been more cautious as he's moved up because he's been facing bigger, better fighters, not because of his hands. He was quite cautious against Castillo at 135 for example, especially in the rematch, even without the hand injury that people incessantly whine about in the first fight. That injury is overblown anyway, he was throwing both hands like he always did, it wasn't the same as when he broke it mid-fight against Hernandez.

He lets his hands go against inferior opponents, plain and simple. Look at every case, and you'll see this is true. Or just good opponents, but ones who present no issues style-wise. That is not at all the case with Meldrick, who would tag Floyd to no end if Floyd actually tried to open up. It's Floyd's defense and boxing mind that would more than likely keep him from getting hit as much as most of Meldrick's opposition. Otherwise, if he opens up, he's getting tagged a whole hell of a lot. Floyd's not taking that kind of a risk against this kind of fighter, especially considering he knows he's not gonna be hurting him like Chavez was.

I appreciate that Floyd is very accurate, but he does not let his hands go like you think(against top opposition that is), and if he did, he'd be in a worse spot, as his chance in this matchup is to box.
