I'm inclined to go with a Mayweather UD, no matter how much i was Cotto to win.

A great deal of people believe Mayweather will stop Cotto. Interesting.

    Did each pick their own?

This might change some minds... :think

Both brands - along with Winning and Rival - make puffier mittens that prioritize hand protection over dealing damage (compared to a Reyes, Casanova or a Pro-Mex).

Everlast has gone on a rollercoaster ride the last few decades - from the dominant industry leader to being considered a third rate product, but they did rally back and improve and are now considered about interchangeable with Grants in every category.

I voted for Mayweather on a stoppage, but there's no way of telling really.

All four headliners were allowed to select their brand of gloves.

Interesting re everlast. I was a little confused with the selection from Shane and Miguel and assumed that they are receiving some incentive$ for the choice.

I'm still somewhat a believer of the wrist problem rumors with Mayweather. Yesterday was his first boxing workout since last Friday which is apparently very strange for him. Logic says it's because he does not need to worry about weight, but still.

I selected Mayweather by TKO here but if I were to say now, it would be a wide UD, 10-2 or so, based on the potential wrist problem along with the 10oz gloves.

Mayweather will wear Grant gloves, Cotto Everlast. Alvarez Grant, Mosley Everlast. All 10ounces (as are all fights in Nev over 147).

Was that meant to be an answer to the actual question I asked?

I knew what all four of them are going to be wearing. My actual question if you read it was whether each man picked his own or whether there was any contractual leveraging.

    PBFred answered it properly. :D
