Curiosly Oscar in one of his last interviews told Sr. was his best trainer lmao.
We gettin' a lil bit OT but one last question: has Oscar ever spoke about why he changed so many trainers?

Oscar is Oscar he might have said that for different reasons… as a guy who could motivate, as a guy could get him shape as someone who made him think he was learning. I suspect it’s business and some guys just got cast aside by management etc.

The issue with Rivero is he taught technique, skill and fundamentals and was having Oscar avoid an old dust up. Eventually this was seen as a hindrance to the 'exciting' image and whether it be the networks, his team or Oscar himself, they wanted to return to knockouts and that's when they dumped Rivero.

Aye, Business is cruel, He could’ve been “more” with Mr Rivero but would he be so wealthy? Maybe not, perhaps it was the right choice for Oscar the man and not Oscar the fighter if that makes sense.

Just scored it, no sound of course but admittedly on my phone, which was not ideal & not what I had planned. But it was even more underwhelming stuff from Mayweather than I remembered. I no longer think a De La Hoya win is an unreasonable position. I had it a draw.

I should have watched it on the big screen admittedly, but Mayweather did an awful lot of grinning & not a lot of punching. I scored the first round a draw but it was just about Mayweather’s round, very close. If I gave him that round he’d have come out a point ahead. It was closer than I expected it should’ve been.

Maybe next time score it on an old Motorola phone with a cracked screen, that once belonged to your Auntie Joan, when you're suffering from a bout of the old 'Pink Eye', then you might even have Oscar ahead.

I thought Floyd deserved the nod. I actually had DH ahead after 9 rounds but then he stopped using his jab.

As the old maxim in marriage goes, it’s never really about what they’re complaining about, is it?

I scored it long time ago 7-5 Mayweather. I definitely believe prime De La Hoya beats him. De La Hoya was about 7 years removed from his best days his stamina was poor down the stretch and timing was not what it once was.

Fight was closer than most remember. But it definitely wasn't a draw. May Jr. won.
But what does it really mean?
Hoya was almost 10 yrs past his prime.
Hoya when he fought May Jr. Was a part
time fighter/ part time playboy, spending
more time at parties and cocaine than
    training for fights.
As with almost all of May Jr.s " Name"
    opponents at welterweight and above
they were all over the hill, some like
Mosely was deep in the valley.
May Jr. Had a chance to fight some of the young guns coming up. But he choose to fight someone
    like McGregor.
Should tell you what it told me....
His career at welterweight and above was smoke and mirrors.
Before someone bring up Alvarez, personally I didn't think much of him before May Jr. Exposed
    him.
Alvarez fought one fighter I consider great, ( May Jr.) and was totally outclassed .
It told me what I already knew.

With the competitiveness of this bout, and well past it Shane buckling him and forcing him to hold on for dear life for an entire round, I’ve always felt either in their prime would beat Floyd.

It is hard to figure out- did Mayweather do just enough to win vs Oscar because that is how he was or did Oscar really push him in a close fight?
I would think that if Mayweather could have dominated Oscar he would have.
I agree with the what a prime Shane could have possibly done to Mayweather. I think this was a case of Shane being VERY far from his prime by many years.
