there are ways to slow fights down....space is one...paul will have to chase floyd..call it running or whatever you want....and after a potshot...HOLD.....its all about slowing PW down...if anyone can do it...its Floyd...tough tough task but he also has the reflexes to doge alot of PW's flurries that he throws and PW doesnt always try to hit with all his power he flicks a lot of punches.

Paul gives PBF his hardest fight at 147. His size and reach would be a big problem for him to overcome. PBF would have to hope that Williams would be atleast a little drained for being away from 147 for so long. This is really a close fight but PBF would counter much of Paul's inaccurate shots. He would also be a hard target to find with his movement and defense which would pose a big problem to Williams. If this fight was at 154 I would pick Williams but at 147 PBF.

I'm not making the general assumption that it has to be someone undefeated at all. But Quintana showed how Williams can be beat. The basics being efficient, quick movement, discipline, good speed and boxing skills. Now tell me Floyd doesn't have all those qualities, and I will continue discussing with you. If not, we're done here.

Mayweather has everything Quintana has apart from the southpaw stance, which was irrelevant in the fight anyway. Tell me why Mayweather isn't capable of out-boxing Williams. Since when does being 6'2" equat to being invincible against boxing skills? Just a bigger target to hit.

Floyd wud adapt, control the pace and pick PW off. PW wud be eating lead right hands and left hooks. Corrales (R.I.P) was the same height and that did nothing for him.

but yo....like seriously..... when is the last time floyd ran aroudn the ring like that? he stands toe to toe with you.... like some people think oscar and his so called "jab" was giving floyd problems.... do you seriously know what paul would do to floyd?

floyd 9 x out of 10 will stand toe to toe with his opponent and just feed off their mistakes... i refuse to believe that he could just run aroudn (which he doesnt even truly do) or stand toe to toe with paul and out do him..... quintana was fighting risky (smart but risky) and jumpining in and throwing wild ass punches (did a good job) floyd would not fight liek that

this is coming from top 3 floyd fans in this forum

That was a while ago, he is someone who is constantly improving. The same with Pac. They are much better fighters than they were a few years ago.

See. That's the only ammunition you have. 100 punches per round to 30. Since when does throwing and landing against thin air equat to rounds in the bag? Floyd's connect percentage would be through the roof compared to Williams.

Mayweather's output is too low. PW has been in there with bigger punchers than May and he isnt afraid to get hit if he has to in order to keep up his workrate.

I dont think May will get KOed because his defense is too good but I think he will start to fall behind on the cards and never be able to catch up.

Its not that he cant land on PW, its that he wont be able to get PW to respect his punches and to drop his output accordingly and fight at a pace that favors Floyd.

If mayweather decides to raise the pace he can, especially if he is able to land at will, which 99% of the time he is able to do. If floyd let his hands go it wud result in williams getting hit even more often.

Floyd wins by Decision either split or unanimous, but it's gonna be a tough fight... maybe tougher than Mosley cause of the height and reach advantage IMO.

he stands toe to toe... gets off.... resets the action... he does less running than you probably think

yeah but the type of risks quintana took to get to paul williams floyd will never take... especially when he gives away the first 2-3 rounds... all that will happen is paul will get into his rhythm which is a disaster for anyone

    exactly... thats my point
