We're going too much OT but my position is kinda in the middle, despite Shane not havin' much left later, it was still a fine version that fought Floyd just after the demolition of Margacheato where he looked hella sharp, so, on paper at least, he still got that dawg in him when he wanted and during his faceoff with Floyd he talked about sendin' requests to Pac's camp that were ignored/refused (until he got the draw against Mora).
Was he in his prime? Nope, he was faded, but it wasn't that bad of version imo like the one that fought Pac and Canelo.

    End of OT.

No I was being facetious. The first part is more likely.

He was shot. Name me a good/great fighter Shane beat AFTER Mayweather. Matter of fact what was his record after his bout with Mayweather?

    Lightweight: Pea wins
    Welterweight: Mayweather wins
P4P: They’re both around the top 25 spot

Mayweather for both. I actually think Pernell would make Floyd look dumb in the ring but he’d just play too much and lose on points.

That's the most reasonable post I've read in here, IMO. I think Whitaker takes the lightest weight and Mayweather the highest. Lets call it a split trilogy at 140.

I think Pea is both the better fighter in terms of sheer ability and would win the fight between them.

Pea wins at 135, 140 and 147. He probably loses at 154, I think.

Floyd ranks higher all time if we go by official results. Pernell ranks slightly higher if we give him the Ramirez 1, Chavez and Oscar bouts (which he absolutely won btw)

Thanks JT. I think it helps that I don’t have a horse in this race - very much respect both fighters’ accomplishments but was never really a fan of either of them.
