Well I respect Floyd Jr. but he seems to be heeding the advice of his family like gospel. For fighting that is. Let's look at who made his family (Floyd Sr. and Uncle Roger) look like amateurs. Do you think the 1990 Pernell Whitaker ( prime Whitaker) would be able to take the Floyd Jr. today?
I think it'd be a close tactical bout. I favor Whitaker by close decision, with his jab and workrate being the difference.
Pernell would probably win because Floyd would try to walk him down and keep it in close where I think Floyd would get the best of him, but Pernell would do better from the outside
No one could stay awake long enough to judge this yawn fest. This would be one seriously boring 'fight'.
Floyd Mayweather easy UD. I think Pernell is the better defensive boxer, probably better offensive fighter too with the southpaw jab and activity (too bad he lacks power), but this is a fantasy fight. Floyd always wins Fantasy fights because he's a fantasy fight GOAT.
One of the worst fights ever. Both men would try to be the defensive counterpuncher. Whoever decides to be more aggressive wins it.
