Pbf would beat Hatton even worse than he beat him at 147 imo he was better at 140 than he was at 147. He was faster of both hand and foot there let his hands go more and had more pop as well.
He was even better at 135 lbs - that was his fastest, and where he actually had legit KO power. (that and super feather) Same goes for DLH and SSM - a lot of people have in hindsight just siloed them all in their minds as welterweights just because that's where the most "famous" stretches of their careers took place, but all three were their optimal h2h Super-Saiyan primo selves at lightweight.
It's the same fight. Floyd despite starting lower in weight was bigger and stronger than Hatton and took anything from him inside. Without the frustration of Cortez Hatton probably hears the final bell but otherwise, Floyd wins 100 from 100. Excellent fight in many respects was Hatton but he just didn't have enough skill at that top level to outbox Floyd etc
You weren't in to boxing back then, but that was what they all said here. Stick to trolling child...and change your diaper FFS...
In hindsight i think to give hatton any real chance it would have needed to be in britain at 140....with paris as ref.....and probably a hatton before the damaging tyszu fight. Even then mayweather still wins it. You could probably throw in hatton being a lot more dedicated out of camps and keeping up training inbetween fights and mayweather still wins it. Mayweather was gifted in fairness under the guidance of guys that had been there and done it from when he was a small kid. For all his faults his dedication was top level. I still say cortez ruined the fight tho. The reason it was any kind of contest was because of hattons infighting ability. He was never beating mayweather any other way. To take that away from him.....fairly or unfairly depending on your viewpoint.....made it a non contest. Ruined what could have been an interesting fight. Hattons footspeed gave mayweather some problems tbf. I still say hatton gave mayweather a more competetive fight than a lot of them. A lot of opponents went into damage limatation early doors. Hatton paid the price for not doing that but at least he went for the win unlike a lot of them.
Floyd struggled with Hatton's footspeed from the outside but put a serious beating on him only when he decided to stand his ground. A different ref forces Floyd to not spend the first four rounds playing matador and he gets to work earlier. Cortez allowed Hatton to see round 10.
