Floyd is in another class altogether. I can't see Roger causing him any stylistic problems. Floyd by wide UD.
Mayweather Sr is C class fighter, Roger B class and Junior A class. Floyd is the creme de le creme. Roger was a quality fighter but no Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Roger would be awkward for a time, his beautiful blend of speed and power would see to this allied to the fact PBF is no Chavez stylistically. Roger's achilles heel is his chin. Roger would certainly make PBF showcase his brilliant talents.
A c level boxer?? Ruben Munoz 14-1 W12-USBA lightweight title Carlton Sparrow 19-1 tko4 Samuel Serano 49-3 tko 8 WBA superfeatherweight title Jorge Alvardo-19-0 tko8 Benedicto Villablanca 30-7 tko1 Tony baltazar 24-2-1 L10 (pure robbery.Regarded as a horrible decision) Efrain Nievies- 19-4 W10 Billy White 13-0 tko 5 Kenny Baysmore 20-0 tko 5 Mario Martienez 38-2-2 W10 Walter Simms 15-2-2 W10 Oscar Benijes 32-3-3 tko7 Sergio Zambrano 34-1-1 tko6 Sammy Fuentes 13-4 tko9 Now you are correct in that mayweather's chin semmed a bit shaky at times. He has knockout losses to Chavez,Lockridge, and Pendleton. But at jr.welter the only person to ever to knock him out was Rafel Pineda who is 100 times a harder puncher then Floydd. The second Chavez bout Mayweather quit on his stool. It seems that having to drain his body to make weight was indeed a major factor in Mayweather's ability to take shots because as soon as he moved up to jr.welter his chin seemed fine. He went the distance with Tszyu who everyone knows is a hard puncher. He stopped Bramble who had NEVER been stopped. THis is hardly a "c" level boxer. Ive always maintaned that if he met Floydd at jr.welter he would defeat Floydd due to the fact that while Floydd is quicker =Mayweather has a huge edge in power and can box as well behind a puinshing jab.And Mayweather had some pretty fast hands.
ATG said Floyd Sr is a C class fighter, not Roger. He said Roger is a B class fighter, which of course, is correct. Roger Mayweather may pose some problems for Floyd with his reach and power, but he's not going to win the same amount of rounds as Floyd and he's not knocking Floyd out, so he'd lose.
If Corley can stagger Mayweather Roger can do it since he hits 5 x as hard. When you have the type of power Roger had you have a chance to ko anyone if you land correctly.
Roger would be able to move around & utilize his boxing ability & keep Floyd on the edge of his jab. racking up points. Judah was very effective in the early rounds by boxing Floyd, before Judah stopped attacking. A slick boxer might pose major problems for Floyd. I would pick Roger for a points win over twelve rounds. I don't see Floyd hurting Roger so it would go down to a pure boxing match with Roger's jab being the dominent weapon.
When you have the type of defence Floyd has you have a chance at stopping even the most devastating punchers from landing correctly.
