Golovkin a G and all, but c'mon now. Floyd would school him just as bad. GGG is bigger and more powerful, but he's too slow to bother Floyd.

Not really. But he's a vet, so he knows what to do anyway.

Take Floyd's dick out of your ass and be straight.

I scored the fight for Mayweather, 7-4-1 rounds, 116-113 points, scoring the first round 10-10 even as both fighters felt each other out, and giving Alvarez rounds 6, 8, 10, and 12. Rounds 6 and 8 were debatable, Alvarez started both out very strong, was clearly winning the first halves of both rounds, then Mayweather rallied late both times. Round 10 was Alvarez's best round, he landed a few decent shots, and Mayweather took Round 12 off. For me, Mayweather still has his elite speed, and did well to show different looks, but defensively I think he wore down in the late rounds, surely because he's not used to fending off 165 pound opponents. I also think Mayweather respected Alvarez's power more than any of his recent opponents, and also was not as interested in engaging with an opponent who outweighed him by 15 pounds on fight night. Alvarez tactically BLEW IT by fighting from distance most of the fight, his best chance was to constantly engage and physically wear down Mayweather with pressure in close, but Mayweather just had too much speed and technique. Not a supremely satisfying fight, but a clear win for Mayweather.

yeah i hate mma really, so boring, spesh when they go to ground.

the crowd and audience for boxing get excited when you go in for the fight, and try to knockout the opponent. just like the end of the garcia-matt fight, which in my opinion a better fight than this, due to the fact it had more of those toe to toe moments and chance of a ko.

floyd running around the ring popping off jabs to me is as boring as wrestling on the ground in mma.

thanks for the ****** comment tho :/

There wasn't a single 3-minute round in which the quality of Alvarez's work or # of connects eclipsed Mayweather's. :conf

    12 - 0 is almost as bad as 6 - 6

But Canelos shots had more cheering so they must have landed, right?

No. You wanted to give Canelo pity rounds, that's your problem. He didn't clearly take any.

You're right. not only are most top boxers probably on some illegal enhancers, but also most athletes are. What I think Mayweather is doing differently though is establishing his own rules for drug testing so that his opponents have to be really careful about their enhancer usage or drop it altogether, whereas Floyd is likely paying the testing company to sweep under the rug whatever illegal substances they may find in his system. When it comes to drug testing Mayweather has created an advantage for himself.

I knew it was lost for Canelo when he made the same mistake that they all (except for Castillo I) made: they approached Floyd after he had set his feet. If you are going to beat Floyd, you do not let him set his feet for any appreciable length of time before you either strike or get the hell out of his reach.
