Right Sunday morning very big fight, Who R U Picking? Me after watching 24/7 think Nazim his trainer will play a big part and now think Shane might pull it off. Lets see.
24/7 is aimed at making fights more interesting and making underdogs look better. Don't believe it. Look at Hatton/Floyd 24/7 Floyd by wide decision/late stoppage :good
Lack of competition for Floyd may prove his downfall on Saturday night. I have this fight A LOT closer than the bookies do anyway. Just hoping for a decent competetive bout.
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200747 **** me, Darni, you do realise that Khan isn't involved in any capacity in this fight?
If you can make a case for Margharito using illegal wraps in his fights (he took lots of punishment from Cintron before stopping it, he took lots of punishment from Cotto before stopping it, he was well beaten by Williams who managed to avoid his bombs and was well beaten by Mosely when he DEFINITELY didn't have them) then you can say that Mosely has no realy chance here. Outboxed by Cotto Outboxed by MAYORGA ffs Beat what possibly was a Margharito that hadn't cheated for the first time And has had well over a year long layoff. No way IN MY PERSONAL OPINION will Mosely take this :good
True, but i think even before 24/7, this Nazim guy had me thinking. You know i think alot of boxing is about mind set and if you really make someone believe that they can do it and get it into their heads then this is half the job. Shane has the tools and with this new direction with Nazim i think he has a chance, more than anyone in the last 6 years of Floyd's career anyway.
In response to Dan's post, here's Doug Fischer's view and one I subscribe to: http://www.ringtv.com/blog/1868/dougies_midweek_mosleymayweather_mailbag/
Since the fight was made I have had a sneaking feeling for Mosely, But then think.... Was the Margaritto performance a one off and hes now to old? Has Floyd faced anyone of this size and speed? My head is saying Floyd UD but 1/4 on is too short! But then Floyd has been inactive , Is saturday gonna catch up with him, I wont be betting on this one, And would love to see Shane do it!! And Shane was a bigger underdog for Marg 6-1 if I remember right!!
No worries. PBF UD. Shane has success in the early rounds and then Mayweather takes control in the middle and latter thirds of the fight. Not a massively wide decision, but fairly comfortable, IMO.
Losfer, I think it might b the other way round. Shane has ALWAYS done well late in fights. He makes adjustments too, but people conveniently forget this.
