    Why is Paul Williams being mentioned in the same breath as those greats and near-greats?

    He has a chance against Williams, Duran, and maybe Whitaker. That's not saying they would lose, just have the least chance of winning than the rest. The rest should be heavily favored.

    Sorry for my late response. Mayweather is so good that we are left to debating who amongst the legendary welterweights in history would beat him. That is the point I am making. He is up there with Sugar Ray Robinson, Kid Gavilan, Thomas Hearns, Benitez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Felix Tito Trinidad.

    I think it might also have something to do with the fact that he's vastly overrated. I find it pretty common actually, he's not the only fighter of this era to be compared with ATGs. Wlad and Vitali are some good examples, they get in fantasy fights with pretty much everyone, and I think they're barely top 20 HWs all-time.
