On paper Tommy Hearns would be undefeated at 147.

I have not seen anything from Floyd that suggests that he could not hang with the elite boxers of the past. He may lose a decision but I dont see him getting "murdered within 6"

    According to Graham Houston :
Mayweather against Thomas Hearns: The Hit Man's right hand would have been a constant threat, but Mayweather seems the more reliable, steadier boxer, and his quickness could have flustered Hearns.
    Pick: Mayweather

I tend to go with the man.

What a terrible post. In no way is Floyd a poor man's Benitez. Nor can Hearns necessarily "KO whenever he feels like it". It just wouldn't be this easy.

In my opinion, Leonard would be the hardest person from 147lbs down for Floyd to beat. Hearns would be second. That said, no one has an easy night with Floyd in the history of the sport.

I see Hearns (prime) hurting mayweather like mosley did, except finishing him off and not gassing out

It depends on what era it was fought in. The Hearns-Hagler-duran-leonard era was all about excitement and giving the fans a good fight, so more risks were taken and therefore more KO's. hearns and the like would find it harder in modern day boxing with the likes of Mayweather avoididng danger at all costs and looking for Ud's instead of Ko's. However, I suspect hearns's physical attributes could get him a Ko at any time, and if it was in the 80's a KO within 4

Benitez was superior. A better Welter, fought better competition.

And there would be some Welters who would make a mockery of him; Napoles and Gavilan for example.

    And Hearns.

    And Leonard.

Floyd wouldn't even fight Cuevas, let alone the 'greats' of 147.

Houstons article is HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst stylistic analysis I think I've ever seen, with seemingly no knowledge of Floyd or the opponents he's being matched up against.
