For better or worse, my 2 cents.

As you said, Hearns is the worst h2h matchup for Floyd of all time.

Snappy power jab, versatile, WAY bigger.

Everything just falls into Hearns favor.

Am I wrong to think that Hearns came in weight drained even with same day weigh in, and just happened to be someone able to perform while dehydrated? I wonder what effect 24 hours of rehydration would have on him.

Hearns by destructive ko with in 8rds.
    Thiers nothing Mayweather Jr. can
do to offset Hearns physical advantages.
Hearns is just as fast, if not faster,
as skilled, would have a very substantial
    height and reach advantage.
And power at welter Mayweather isn't
    on Hearns planet.
    Mayweather Jr would fight defensively
for as long as the fight last. Wouldn't
win any rounds because of Hearns jab
and threat of the right hand.
Sooner than later Hearns finds the
range drops that right hand and the
    fight would be over.

even at 147, Tommy wins another big matchup. His arms are too long and he's got the height. Dont see Floyd bringing enough heat

In my mind I always pictured Hearns stopping Mayweather. Hearns was too busy. Hearns was too strong. Hearns had the height and reach. Playing defense wasn't the way to beat Hearns ... in any division.

But you made some good points about Floyd lasting the distance. So maybe he does.

However, IMO, Hearns wins this fight 10 times out of 10.

I see no avenue for Floyd Mayweather to win at 147 or 154.

I don't think Floyd is on the same level as Hearns, Leonard or Duran at 147 pounds. As Rummy stated Mayweather hasn't got enough pop to bother those guys. A better matchup for Floyd would be against Donald Curry or Felix Trinidad level guys. One other note: watching Floyd's highlights against Canelo I'd forgotten how drained and weak Canelo looked against Floyd.

Hearns by decision with his jab controlling the distance. Floyd would have to gamble to win this. He wasn't a finisher at 147. He had the finishing instincts of a sedated Golden Retriever.
Tommy might not stop because Mayweather was a great defensive fighter. Benitez managed to go the route albeit being dominated.
    Hearns W12 or 15.

I won't give an obvious prediction. Floyd wouldn't fight the Hit Man Slender Man :D

Biggest mismatch stylistically in the history of the sport
Many trying to keep the sport that has fallen of a cliff over the years alive by making Mayweather into a fighter he was not
whats next Mayweather vs Bob Foster?? or Connor McGregor vs Hearns ??? or Jake Paul vs Mayweather 2 ??
    Jimmy Wilde KO 1 Floyd

Yeah Hearns is all wrong for Mayweather. Floyd has a much better chance against Leonard and Duran than The Hitman.

Definitely couldn’t have been a bad thing, I know Hearns was slender but at 6 foot 1, it couldn’t have been easy to make weight, dehydrate and the rehydrate in one day. Surely there just have been a minimum of 5-10 per cent improvement with an extra day to recover.

On the topic, Hearns would have caused all sorts of problems for Mayweather, just my opinion I don’t think Floyd fought anyone as good as Tommy, I think Tommy mixed it with better than Floyd. Stylistically Tommy is a hard match up for most top fighter 147-160, he’s pretty underrated from non hardcore boxing fans. Floyd wouldn’t have fought Tommy in his prime though.

Hearns could either outbox or punch Floyd
either wide UD or Late stoppage.
