He literally went to war with Hagler like a year after that, so what's your point? Was Duran shitty in 1982, but good again in 1983?

    That’s a distinct possibility.

Out of all the ATGs, Tommy is perhaps the only guy I'd most confidently say can beat Floyd and stop him. Too much of a stylistic nightamre.

Only way Floyd even got a chance at winning is if he becomes PBF again and goes for broke

One of the biggest mis matches in the history of the sport TBH .. Rumy's vids are so awesome but the pipe dreams and mis representations of fighters just to keep a dying sport alive , I could go without... Floyd wouldn't take this fight and if you have watched boxing as long as I have .. you wouldn't bother to make a match that wouldn't happen in the first place .. again a pipe dream

Hearns would have a " chance " against Tyson same as the chance Floyd would have against Hearns

Why the latter half of this thread consists more of comparin' Clenelolose to Duran than the actual topic of discussion?
Btw I can see sum shenaningans Floyd could pull to get a draw -or a SD at worst- similar to the **** Leonard did to Hagler in the latter part of his career.

How many in your world had Canelo winning?

He did indeed. Not only did he land more punches, but he landed more neck-twisting, sweat-apraying, spittle-flinging bombs than Canelo.

tough fight for Floyd as it was for Leonard - you need to get inside and go to the body and hurt Tommy and SRL had the tools- The outside game vs Hearns would be tough for Floyd, Leonard was able in fight one but I thought SRL lost fight 2. I dont think Hearns would find it easy to unload on Floyd but Floyd could be evasive and take the decision.

This isn't really a knock on Mayweather. Its more of a case of Hearns being freakishly good. The picture he presents, the height, range, speed, power and the coordination. Its a rough nite for anyone.

That's why rarely did fighters call Tommy Hearns out.

Canelo backed him up and transformed him from a destroyer into an upright Euro jabber.

No way in hel! Floyd can avoid Tommy yet mount a successful enough offense to win. He fights to survive. Thomas either gets a comfortable UD or he gets to Floyd's chin and knocks him cold.
