    Why didn't Floyd fight Senchenko? He had the WBA strap, and might have given Floyd trouble with his height and reach.

    I'm looking at Senchenko's Boxrec page and wow, his resume is TERRIBLE.

    Floyd would have been LAMBASTED if he chose Senchenko.

    Yeah, you just answered your own question.

    As flaky as Ortiz was, and in addition to his familiarity to the US market vs. the Ukrainian's obscurity, there was still more substance in facing/beating Vic than in facing/beating Senchenko.

    He gets eaten alive for fighting future HOF'ers, just think of the reaction if he fought Senchenko. That belt could have been bought by any promoter with a good up-and-comer. Not that Senchenko literally sucks, but compared to elite level, yeah, he does.
