I don't believe it's that convoluted. Do you think he deliberately almost got beat by Castillo and hit that many times by Judah in the first half of the fight? Despite the image he, and many others, like to paint of him he is not infallable and not unbeatable.

Why do you think he's picked his fights so carefully recently? Please don't go all amateur accountant on me, he avoided fights because he wasn't sure he would win.

We weren't talking about Castillo or Judah, we were talking about Marquez, who was absolutely no thtreat to PBF and who at no time looked like he was going to win jack ****.

  3. The reason Floyd looked so good against Marquez is that Marquez was an ageing, bloated featherweight who was too slow and too cautious.

The reason Pacquiao looked so good against Cotto is that Pacquiao is a peak, strong, legit welterweight who was too fast and too aggressive.

    Figure it out.

    :deal

said it before and I'll say it again. PBF is a tough fight for Pac but Pac once again will prove the doubters wrong.

No, he had a bad night against Castillo but he gave him a rematch straight away before he fought again and picked him apart.

So judah landed punches on him ? Morales landed more on Pac :deal

He came backing knowing full well that the only fight out there for him was Pacquiao. Before he was retired the only fight out there that he couldn't have avoided with regards to the public perceptions was Hatton. Nobody in the public was calling for him to fight Cotto, nobody was calling for him to fight Tsyzu, nobody was calling for him to fight Margarito. Public opinion matters unfortunately as does money. He knew when coming out of retirement that he'd be fighting Pac.

On a side note, I heard 2 of the staff in 'House of Fraser' talking about who they thought would win out of Floyd/Pac today  Boxing is getting the recognition is deserves again in the UK so it seems :happy

i would never bet aginst pacman again... i did against odlh (because of the jump in weights) and i did against cotto (just thought cotto would be too strong).

but against pbf?? i think floyd will be too elusive and counter pac all night long. he certainly wont lose his head like hatton and cotto did... but will he have the key to unlock pac?? **** knows.

the only winner that is a dead cert in my mind are the boxing fans. bring it on, needs to happen

No one's anymore convinced that his fight with JMM was anything more than a sparring session because it went the distance than if he'd stopped him.

Castillo was a great fighter at that time, Floyd didn't have a bad night, Castillo just had a good one.

Morales was also a great fighter, better than most Floyd has fought and certainly better than Zab. Pac's also improved as a fighter since then. You seem to be taking what I'm saying as a personal affront (like the Floydettes in the GF) but I'm just putting all the permutations out there.

Lots of people were calling for a fight with Cotto back then. As for money, he was offered 8mil to fight Margarito. So, obviously, public opinion and money are not the only things Floyd considers when picking opponents.

There's a great piece in The Times about Pacquiao today. Fantastic to see the sport taking a place of prevalence in the papers recently, let's hope it lasts.

Floyd Mayweather has beaten JMM with his C game, beaten Oscar De La Hoya on his terms : with a sub par performance, Knocked Out Ricky Hatton with another sub-par performance.

Against Manny Pac, Floyd Mayweather would fight inside the pocket.

Def Con - 5 "Lights Out"

    James "Lights Out" Toney style...

The Ref would have no choice but to stop the fight, the amount of uppercuts and right hands Manny Pac will be eating...

I still think Manny Pac and Roach have ****ed with the wrong division..!

Mosley would abuse Manny Pac aswell..!!

think manny pac is quality, but imo mayweather wins this bout. I think the fight would be a dull affair with mayweather fighting on the back foot, and not wanting to get drawn in a war. I think mayweather wins this one on points.
    just my opinion though

I too have gone against Pac in his last 2 fights! :patsch
I thought Hatton would bully the **** out of him and stop him around 8 with a body shot! :patsch
I then thought Cotto would stop him around the 9th, with Manny being up on points after peppering Cotto with his handspeed; but eventually crumbling ala Cotto/Margarito! :patsch

But for me there is 2 people out there who can beat Manny and 1 other who's in with a shout dependent on a thing or 2!

    1. Floyd Mayweather
Mayweather can match Manny for speed of hand and foot, something everyone else recently has struggled with!
Mayweather is a far superior counter puncher in comparison to JMM, who at times made PacMan look silly (i thought Pac lost both JMM fights also).
Mayweather is as accurate as they come, how often does he miss?!? Pacs not exactly hard to hit most of the time!
Personally i feel Mayweather has more to show and has been fighting within himself for his whole carear! And could personally see him stopping on accumulation of shots, busting him up and making him look bad ala Cottos face!

    2. Shane Mosley
Mosley could more or less match Pac for speed of hand and foot! Again something not many can do!
Mosley is deceptively stronger than hes given credit for, and with his speed it will work better than Cotto trying to use his strength which Pac managed to negate, as his speed of hand couldnt match Pacs!
Also Mosley is a harder hitter than hes given credit for! And if Mosely has another performance in him like that of the Margarito one, i see him beating Pac!

    3. Juan Manuel Marquez
As i felt he won the last two (not denying they were very close and couldn't really argue with pac getting the decision), if the fight was made at lightweight down i can see JMM wanting the win more than he has ever before and putting in a excellent display of counterpunching and sneaking a deserved close decision!
I don't feel JMM can carry the weight up above there and be effective!
