Floyd Mayweather Jr. would've been just as dominant in Sugar Ray Robinson's era

I agree with this (skillwise). SRR's era was a different kind of boxing, fighters relied mostly on heart and durability. Few fighters can be said to have elite sets of skills, but they do possess unbelievable endurance, considering the rules (number of rounds, no mandatory 8 count, thin gloves, etc.). This era is a bit overrated in my opinion, only SRR among very few from that era would've been called an ATG if they fought at SRL's time.

SRL's era on the other hand was just extraordinary. Skillwise, they too would have dominated in any era, including now because of their elite skills and high workrate, which i believe is the greatest era of boxing.

Lamotta, Basora, Bell just to name a few

but i dont think he would've been undefeated especially not in the 80's era
    but i think e would've been a dominating force

At the end of the day Floyd had all the skills and talent to be the best of all time. I personally think he let himself and his fans down by not proving it.

Just my opinion. Happy debating

the only one who is competition overall, skillwise, and resume is Mosley and Floyd dominated him

Margarito is a cheater and lost all his biggest fights

and Cotto hasnt done enough to be considered as a first ballot HOF

what Floyd accomplised at 130 is more then both Cotto and Marg combined

Lamotta i would take to possibly win in the first fight, i think it would be a similar case of SRR and Lamotta's series, but in a trilogy Lamotta possibly wins the first, with floyd winning the second and third, which would prove his dominance over lamotta in that era... Each fight to be competitive...

Also another factor, Floyd being the 'hustler' and money 'mad' person that he is, how do people think fight fixing would have played out in his career in that era? :deal

wow nice try twisting the facts son!!!

    HERE IS THE REAL FACT:

those fighters i mentioned are the who's who in floyds division, each of them fought each other.

    YOU SAID:
Fighters today doesnt test each other.

i gave you the top WW on floyds time and they fought each other... AND FLOYD FOUGHT A 38 YEAR OLD MOSLEY :good

    i agree

and fight fixing would've played out semi-bad because if he was in that era he wouldnt (like all the other fighters of that time) care about staying undefeated because many of them fought just to feed there family

He'd have losses to Sugar Ray Robinson, and maybe Armstrong. ANd thats it. He might drop the odd decision here and there but he'd be one of the greatest boxers of that generation aswell.

Mayweather is top 40 all-time boxer. The greatest of our era. And there arent 5 active fighters you could name with a better resume.

FLoyd is not scared of no Pacquiao. He didn't demand the drug testing thinking Manny would refuse it. I would he assume that?
