Floyd Mayweather Jr. would've been just as dominant in Sugar Ray Robinson's era

Floyd would have done welll in any era. He's foundation is solid and has a great balance of skills and talents. But to say he'd dominate in the era Ray Robinson did is ridicoulous. Floyd isn't cut from the same cloth as a guy like Robinson was. Robinson had all the talent and skills Floyd enjoys but Robinson also had a champions spirit that is unmatched. Floyd doesn't even resemble having the kind of champions heart that would have been necessary to get through the GRIND of the golden era of boxing that greats like Robinson, Pep, Sadler, Louis, Armstrong ect faught.

The thing about Floyd Jr is he's got all the gifts, tools and skills to be one of the best ever but he just doens't have that one quality that the other greats had. And we don't even need to discuss it b/c everyone knows what that is.

Locche was a great defensive fighter. Very underated as a champion in boxing but was absolutely incredible as a boxer. Floyd has a lot of similarities when we compare their styles, but I honestly feel Floyd couldn't have dominated in boxing most talent rich era.

he is fighting Mosley who is no longer a credible opponent he's shot to ****

now if he fought someone young and fresh he would be the best

even though i think he beats berto he would get exposed

    Floyd would? hasn't.

You dont judge fighters on perception of what they might! of done, that's one of the reasons Pacquiao is rated above him. Pacquiao has proven himself against the likes of MAB, Morales, Marquez, Cotto, Margo.

A fighter should be judged on how dominant he was in his OWN era.
