Ok the more n more i read esb forums n articles i see so much hate towards pbf talking about how he's a runner n he picks smaller opponents bcuz he's scared of the quote on quote "real welterweights" but wat i dont get is wen it comes down to people fighting floyd i hear the same thing.....

"well (boxers name) will give him the most trouble, but will he beat him i doubt it."

why is this and why so much hate for the undefeated fighter who is bringin the buzz bak to boxing?

    :?:?:?:?:?

He didnt duck nebody....boxing is a business first and foremost....mosley went on vacation and needed new teeth, cotto wasnt ready wen asked to fight floyd, and williams, clottey, and margo was not in the top tier of fighters at that weight wen floyd retired say wat u want about them dats an opinion if you think so....as for pac, come on be serious i guess floyd has to wait on pac????dont worry if pac gets past cotto, floyd's gone beat dat ass and put on a boxing clinic....

I really do find it funny when people say he ducked cotto when cotto hasnt even called him out.

I also find it funny how mayweather generates 250 million in revenue in 2 mega fights, how many fights would it take to generate that much money fighting cotto, margarito, mosley, clottey and williams:rofl

Man all Floyd fans speak like accountants :))))). Come on get a life we don't care so much if it's good or bad busyness for him we want to see good fights. And he was going to earn more fair amount of money fighting Margo or Cotto.

I agree. People who say that kind of thing are fans of fighters and not boxing. Surely any genuine fan of the game just wants to see the best fights put on and a chance for the lesser names to eat.

And people on the opposite side of the table seem ignore the truth of the business side. For example : the only reason Pac is fighting Cotto is because Arum has the most to gain form the fight. Not because Pac wanted the fight, but because Arum prefers to keep the money in house. Floyd vs Margarito, cotto and hatton would have happened as early as 2006 if Arum was not trying to make more money then the fighters taking the risk.

Please don't get your knickers in a twist. I've been through all this with Scar and I'm fully aware Floyd isn't solely to blame for these fights not happening. I was merely taking acception to the assertion PPV numbers and crowds should be the only criteria for fights happening.

When Floyd is involved, all biases come in. People complain about Arum until it's Floyd on the other end. If Pac Man fans wanted to see him fight the best, it would not have been Hatton, Dela Hoya, and Diaz in his last fights. Those were money fights, too. Now, as you said, so is the Cotto fight. Cotto is live, though. He could have fought Shane...that would have been a much bigger fight. So, if what you all say about Foyd ducking, so did Manny.

I can see your point with DLH and Diaz but Hatton was linear champ at 140 so winning that fight had genuine historical significance.

You're right...the Hatton fight wasn't a cherry picked fight...I actuallt thought Hatton would win. Hatton damn near went out like Apollo Creed...ha.
