wow this statement couldn't further from the truth.

Corrales , Castillio , Manfredy , Chavez , Nudo, Hatton and Hernadez were all at the top of there game when floyd beat them .. and let not forget the Baldo was coming off a 7 year winning streak .

He never fought Kostya because , zoo management went behind his back and made a deal to fight Ricky instead of Floyd , a documented fact that some of you refuse to acknowledge even when Zoo himself acknowledges this fact .

Why is when Floyd out class Zab its nothing special but when Cotto beat a rusty Zab he's the best welter in the business :huh

the top fighter at 140 was zoo , hatton and cotto.

Arum went on record as saying he was not interested in making a floyd vs cotto fight .
Hatton and he people shot the proposal down 3x
Zoo was off for more then a year, had one fight after the lay off and then was sigh to a fight with Hatton.

sigh a fight to Zab at 147 when he was the man as we know zab lost , he fought Zab anyway , was highly criticized for not fighting Baldi the true liner champ at 147 then went on the fight Oscar then Hatton ..
the only other fighter calling out Floyd at 147 was Margarito,

It should also be noted, That Arum acknowledge that Floyd would have sigh to fight Margarito but only if Arum would give him both the Cotto and Hatton fight for 10 mill apiece which Arum refused which pretty much ended there business partnership .

He wants to be known as an equal of Hearns, Duran, and Leonard, but never will be.

No, sounds like your being one-sided, despite statement that where made by Arum, hatton camp as well as Zoo's that each camp at the time did not want to fight floyd for one reason or the other. .. You chose to blame floyd .. but what ever what ever ..
    respect ..

I dont like the guy but I think he is the best boxer in the world, bar none.

We are lucky to see an athlete who is that good at his sport.

    Doesn't come around often.

I like the comparison's to Roy Jones Jr. Both are/were obviously incredibly talanted boxers but the really compelling fights just don't seem to happen for either as often as other fighters.

I am almost tempted to compare him to Mozart, who I also recognize as incredibly talented but at the same time don't find compelling. I think part of it has to do with the aspect of struggle, or lack of struggle, involved. Their pure talent creates a pleasent viewing/listening experience but lacks the depth of emotion which comes through overcoming setbacks and the like.

So you could say I prefer someone such as Beethoven over Mozart for the same reasons I prefer many boxers over Mayweather.

What we really need is Bob Abrum to play the role of the person who commissioned Mozart's Requiem and push Mayweather to the technical, and emotional, limits of his talent. Only when Mayweather has done this will he become great. * Edit. Or dead...

come on really #1 alltime do you even acknowledge the kind of career the guy at #1 had! in fact two careers all gloried and storied. Guy would give away 15 pounds at times just to get fights. Look at the history of the sport. Take things from a historical prespective. Not just what you see.

Its funny that your avatar shows Hatton blatently holding with the left and trying to come over the top with the right. I****INGLEGAL.. Just like the dumb ass youtube clip that showed floyd countering Hattons dirty tricks with his own. He just did it better. :patsch These clowns make me laugh. Hatton coming in charging throwing one punch and trying to clinch and floyd pushes off with an elbow or a forearm. That happens when your gameplan is to smother with illegal clinching dumb asses.
