Recently there have been lots of talks of what Floyd Mayweather Jr. Plans to do with his future....normally I am pretty good at piecing together the financial/boxing puzzle that our game is today but I never sat down and actually contemplated Floyd's Motives, Ideas and Potential Matchups..

Prior to margarito beating cotto i called out that whole situation with cotto vs margarito & if cotto win's he will go on to fight oscar then if cotto beats oscar he will go on to fight floyd... margarito messed that whole thing up and I knew all along that if margarito won that oscar would not face him but he would go in the direction of someone else.....

so now that paq stepped into the picture and beat oscar... floyd at this point would be faced with a major decision... he wanted cotto (im sure of it) because it would have been a career defining win and a super fight between the p4p#2/3 (cotto @ beating marg & oscar)... but now that he cant... he could have fought paq immediately after oscar if he really wanted....

but my theory is that floyd wanted to roll his dice.... he let paq & hatton square off so paqman could build his name even further and then make paq REALLY blast off into superstardom and ensure his fight (floyd vs paq) would be bigger then ever! but you dont roll the dice with something like that with out having some type of insurance plan.. it just wouldnt make sense because if hatton beats paq the whole fight between paq and floyd is to ****....fmj is no dummy and i pesonally think that floyd thinks paqman is going to win against hatton but if hatton pulls it off... I think floyd will rematch hatton in the uk....

this is something the boxing world will all tune into and it will generate big bucks in the uk...its almost like common sense because he could have made a **** load of money by immediately fighting paq after oscar but for some reason he didnt.. i think this is the reason why..

aside from all this we have margarito who is booked till summer... margarito is generating a lot of momentum as well by facing shane which is a fight a lot of people think he will win and if he wins dramatically it will be a big boost to margarito's name and he should be cotto again which would be a huge fight but not as big as hatton in the uk...

Margarito is on the edge of super stardom but if floyd plans for the future are a circle... margarito is a square.... they just dont really fit into each other...

i think floyd would like in order

    - paq
    - hatton in the uk (Wembley stadium... would make boxing history)
    - margarito with a 3rd name under his belt.....

@ the end of the day we all know floyd is about a dollar and the situations i just presented are what would make floyd the most money.. im pretty sure this is how it will go down.... so lets wait and see

if floyd is really ambitious he will take margarito after paq/hatton ... if margarito can continue to build his name.... the biggest & best bet were to be if margarito could come back and beat paul williams... so you margarito fans better prey paul williams keeps winning then your man fights him down the line and wins because that might be just enough ... a big enough win to shove margarito's name into the spot light and really give floyd some iniciative to fight margarito

thats how i see the future

Lmao probably... it would be worth it though... seeing Floyd vs Hatton in Wembley would be a guaranteed sellout and would have one of the best boxing audiences in boxing history

Well, its a nasty hypothetical, but Ricky avidly supports City and not arch rivals Utd,so a City fan would be more pissed off and 'protective'.

I would rather go to Wimbledon to see Björn Borg spank McEnroe's ass on tape than Wembley to see Floyd spank Hatton in another boring fight. :smoke
