theres a good handful of fights that would be better than floyd vs hatton in wimbledon but it would rank high... top ten maybe?

    Why wont it happen?

    I think it makes sense...

floyd on record has said he wants to fight in the uk and letting manny fight hatton before paq vs floyd could go down is very risky... its like a toss up fight... why would you let something happen like that and mess up your money.... unless floyd knows something we dont in regards to paqman fighting & beating hatton .... its just to close to leave to risk.....

plus fighting hatton in the rematch in the uk will make floyd more money in the long run (more than fighting margarito or cotto) .. and in the time he fights that rematch margarito or cotto have time to gain some momentum... it would have to be margarito though because it would be a lot of ground for cotto to cover for him to get back in the position he was before he lost to margarito... margarito might slide in if he destroys shane & cotto and builds a huge amount of momentum...

margarito will say more abuot floyds legacy
    hatton will fill floyds pockets
    paq will do both

The guy is retired and you still are talking about his plans,by the timea fight between him and either Hatton or Pacquiao would happen he would have a 2 year layoff. He ain't coming back.Plus I doubt he would go to the UK.

Mayweather is coming back. I talked with Mayweather SR. last month (see avatar) and he told me his son already said hes coming back, he just wants to whoop somebody again.

if he doesnt come back.... he doesnt come back

but if he does i think it will be something like this...
plus with hatton and floyd sr together.. it just makes the plot that much more interesting....

marg is so close to being a viable opponent for floyd... if floyd does come back itll be interesting to see what decision he makes

I see him coming back this year, most likely towards the end of it where he'll take on the winner of Hatton/Pacman. I actually don't think he'll take any warm-up fights & he'll avoid Williams and Margo.

If Margarito Wins Against Shane & Cotto... it will be boarder line for floyd because it will do more for his resume if he fights margarito...
but if he fights hatton it will be a bigger fight & more money
    assuming paq loses

if paq wins there no doubt in my mind that they will be fighting late 2009

I don't know if there would be much interest in a PBF/Hatton rematch IF Hatton lost to Pacquiao. If Margarito, Mosley or Cotto gets on a hot roll then maybe PBF takes one of them as an encore to a PAC/PBF fight.

If paq wins... paq and floyd are going str8 ahead to fighting..
only way floyd doesnt fight pac or hatton in my eyes are if..
marg destroys shane & destroys cotto

cotto would have to do to much in not enough time
and shane would have to beat marg and beat cotto..

I'm with it. The planning aspects of it are very likely a possibility and/or a contingency plan for Mayweather. He'll definately be selective about the path he chooses to take. I know he's been keeping an open channel with Team Hatton - of course, his father might be an obstacle. Either that or the payoff for people who wanted to see Mayweather Sr. in the opposite corner from his son.
