I do agree with you. But he knew it would be perceived as a 'p4p' list and later did in fact say it was so.

 

That's actually a pretty top class 5 Head to head list though. Basically what I have :conf

After much musing I am happy to place Floyd in my top 25 p4p (eye test) and I rank him number 1 divisionally (h2h).

Traditionally speaking he will always be someone who's ability outstrips his achievements which says a lot considering he's unbeaten, has defeated numerous guys who will make the hall and has been the number 1 in 4 divisions.

When I ranked on resume and achievements I could quite comfortably name him outside my top 50. But given how I rank today he's somewhere in my top 25. I used to think his close fights with Oscar and Cotto were to be held against his so called skill level but in reality, for any sfw great to hold their own with the best lmw in the world is amazing.

Guy is a dick and has failed to take on some of the biggest challenges out there but given the fights he has had top 25 is where he goes. When ive listed them I'll come back to this thread if it's still active.

 

I can agree with that.

 

The problem with Mayweather Jr, as far as all-time rankings are concerned, is that he has never beaten anyone great who was in their prime. De La Hoya and Mosely took him the distance, and both were well past their respective primes. I thought his cheap shot against Ortiz was pretty telling as well. Mayweather Jr needs to beat Pacquiao and Alvarez, and he needs to do it soon, and soundly.
