Even if you dont agree with Floyd’s ranking, you still have to respect it. Can we really blame him? If you were in his shoes as an undefeated, almost billionaire boxer, you probably would think of yourself as the greatest too.

Brashness, arrogance whatever you want to call it. Floyd mayweather was able to remain undefeated for all those years because his confidence blows through the roof. It’s on a different level and that’s what makes him Floyd mayweather.

I remember this. ESPN had no boxing on their network at the time so he was always getting interviewed by football guys who knew nothing about this sport. There's another interview from around the same time with a man and a woman, where they offer ESPN's take on the top 5 alongside of Floyd's list. The man says something like, "I'd never heard of this Henry Armstrong fellow."
