Their case against GBP is pretty weak though. It hinges on a comment that a reporter heard Schaefer make during a private conversation. If you can succesfully sue someone based on what they say during a private conversation, then you might as well throw out the first ammendment. This whole lawsuit is a P.R stunt. Roger and Floyd Sr. are the only ones he has any type of case against. However, their allegations are so outlandish that nobody in their right mind would believe them.

What about ODLH's blog? Like I say, I'm no lawyer and I know courts really don't like this type of garbage clogging them up for the most part.

Yeah he is looking to break everyone with a 70K lawsuit.

Manny is full of it. That is why he is blood testing 20 days out for the Clottey fight. He is on that juice.

The US$75,000 figure is simply the minimum that one has to allege in order to sue in federal court," Petrocelli added. "The damages in this case for Pacquiao's reputation are in the tens of millions of dollars, not including punitive damages."

It's not like a lawyer would ever talk out of his ass. If the tens of millions of dollars don't include punitive damages, that means they would represent compensitory damages. Good luck with his lawyers proving that he's lost 10's of millions of dollars in compensation.

The thing is the source you provided is not a credible one. Any other ones such as LA Times, CNN, etc.?

"I don't like to throw no nails, but they all cheaters."

Sounds very suspect. Doesn't sound like something Floyd would say. Why would he? This quote allegedly comes AFTER the lawsuit had been filed which would make him the dumbest guy in the world if he really said that.

If this turns out as big news and becomes the deciding factor in the case, then ok, fine. I don't necessarily think Pac would be such a better person as a result of that. I feel the best way to handle the situation is to kick Floyd's ass in the ring and give the fans what they want instead of having to deal with irritating court sessions.

People don't get that part. Pac could actually win the suit and be awarded $1.

Paul Williams keeps bitching about how he was out all that training money for the Pavlik fight when he used that training for the Martinez fight. He also was in a fight of the year type fight to boost his profile and he is belly aching like he has been sorely grieved. People don't understand the 'mitigate your losses' aspect. Hell, most folks here understand what they WANT to be true. :yep

Folks really still believe the courts are a lottery system.

Excellent point. I see you even managed to get in a shot at Williams in order to help make your point.:yep

How can he PROVE he lost that much money? By the FACT that he choked out from a blood test?

Just the evidence floating around makes Manny look like a fool. Running away from a 14 day testing cut off because giving blood makes him "weak". Then taking a test at 20 days. Then his trainer gets out in the media talking about what a great workout they had AFTER the blood test? :think

Manny is full of crap. You are too blind to see it. :deal
