Tax office takes about half, a rpomoter takes between 10-20 per cent. 60 millio would easily be around 20 million after all the obiligatory deductions.

COuld be. you take fighters like bradley, who even arum says isnt promoted properly and tell them y you can help them. Especially since bradley thinks highly of mayweather. It may not be hard for them to build a stable. Cotto going after the PRs.

I dont really get into saying mayweather should be careful with king. I think king is only dangerous to people who dont know any better. like tyson in the past. I think its kinda strange that tyson and mayweather have become so cool lately, and knowing how tyson feels about king, still socializing with him.

But in all honesty, if i was mayweather i would too because im smart enough to protect my money but king is business savvy and i would definatley team with him to pick his brain.

Very interesting However I am not thinking this is a bad idea honestly if anybody can promote the **** out of a fighter its Don King I mean for **** sakes when you can keep John Ruiz's career alive for as long as he did, you know your good at what you do.
imagine what could come of this~

    King is Brilliant, that's why.

Of course that brilliance comes with dealing with the devil himself.

Maybe you can learn from the devil without getting affected. But this is boxing and it is a dirty sport so best to learn from the best.

Still crazy to play with fire.

It's only good if he makes the Floyd - Pac fight happen. Other than that, it'll just be some bull****. King has made some great fights in the past but lets remember he cares about money first and foremost. If he can put Floyd in with a bunch of bums and make money he'll do it.

I honestly think this is an attempt to emulate GBP in a similar business model. Take this for instance right now GBP has Mosley, Hopkins, and Marquez as Managing partners. Mosley West Coast, Hopkins East coast and Marquez Mexico. Cotto, Mayweather, King, perhaps are trying to do something similar in bringing the lime light to their affiliated gyms, and organizations, as a way of extending their presence and more ideal of a promotion company in signing and recruiting new talent, and having more leverage in negotiations :huh I could be wrong.........

There has to be more to it than that, Mayweather can do that right now without King or Cotto.

floyd and cotto are both pretty modern..$hit is changing in boxing..

These 3 have big names in this sport...they can get a lot of money on the table for just about any 2 fighters willing to fight each other and it will sell...

They would probably still work "in association with gbp" as well....

Oscar de la hoya, don king, floyd mayweather jr, miguel cotto...................pretty big names that are known by more than just your hardcore fan...those names are known by people who dont pay attention to boxing aside from the big fights...

GBP fronted Floyd a $10mil advance prior to his bout with Marquez so that Floyd can handle his tax issues. In return, GBP has the promotional rights to some of his future fights.
