I wouldn't say that he never dared to be great. It's more like he was inconsistent, and took the cowards way out running away as often as he was ever brave and marched to battle.

Sometimes he did, like against Canelo.

Exactly. He was like a soldier who would kill women and children as often as men, but you couldn't say that he didn't occasionally attack the enemy.

He's already great though. The greatest fighter of the last generation.

I still say that Pac is better. Their fight didn't prove anything. It was like Duran losing to Leonard in the third fight. He was 38 fighting five weight classes above his best weight, 93 fights into a career. The first fight when he whipped Leonard's ass tells you all you need to know. No, what Mayweather proved was that he was bigger, healthier, and on the juice that night.

Duran was better than Leonard and Pac was better than Mayweather.

I agree that Mayweather was great, but his level of greatness is definitely up for debate and open to interpretation.

Get out of here. What do you know about boxing? You've proven that all you're capable of is spreading Ellerbe's and Mayweather's cheeks for your dining. I don't respect the understanding of boxing of MOST people here.
Yeah, if they had my input, Lomachenko wouldn't have looked like a lost boy against Salido. I've seen every single amateur fight many times over, and am aware of his faults and his strong points. When you watch the screen with your frazzled, uninspiring brain, you just see two people hitting eachother with colourful gloves.
