Exactly. For a great fighter, I expect him to be moving up to uncomfortable weights when it's inconvenient for him from time to time, if he wants to be one of the greatest ever as his fanboys want him to. Kind of like what Lomachenko's doing now. Loma could've become an ATG feather, but now he's sacrificed that for good fights.
Some valid points in there, but also a lot of excuse making.. I won't take time to pick apart the whole post as its rather lengthy. But The Alvarez " catch weight" argument has always been a joke in my eyes. He was 152 for Floyd. For his previous 10 fights he showed up at weights ranging anywhere between 149 to 154. So 152 shouldn't exactly have been an unatainable or unreasonable number. Floyd on the otherhand had to gain roughly 4 pounds to meet him.. Can we also talk about how Floyd was 12 years older and had only appeared a handful of times in the last five years? Also this claim about Canello being a "middleweight" when NONE of his previous 43 fights were ever fought there is absurd. Let's face it, if ANY other welterweight had moved up and beaten Saul Alvarez ( catch weight or not ) everyone on this forum would have gotten a hard on over it. But Floyd happened to be the one to do it, so out come the excuses about catchweights, off performances, etc..
Gannicus I told you not to meddle until Khan is looking for another CAT scan appointment. If GGG can't make people fight him then how could a young Mayweather, right? This content is protected
Its more difficult for Golovkin to get fights than a young Mayweather. 1. Mayweather is an American 2. Mayweather is a bigger draw 3. Golovkin has career threatening power and can physically destroy you to the point of no return.
I guess he could be as desperate as your pen pal We are talking about who is daring to be great and all that ****. Well a young Floyd tried to fight all the greats. American or not they all DUCKED HIM!! Gannicus can't have it both ways. Just like Mayweather when GGG is 36,37 and losses a step everyone that wants him now will triple and what will he do, FIGHT ALL OF THEM? Hell, no! It's pick and chose time.
You made a comparison to Golovkin and Mayweather and how it was hard for them to grt fights in their prime. What I'm saying is people are avoiding Golovkin even more. At least Mayweather got fights with Corrales, Castillo and Hatton.
Young Floyd never looked like **** against an old war torn fat fighter like lomachenko either. This content is protected
