If u had a choice to fight the lineal champ (Baldomir) for 8m, or a overrated belt holder (Margorita) for 8m. Who would u pick, honestly?
one of the biggest myths in boxing. floyd haters believe what they want to believe. you know, i'd actually give you more credence if you knew what cut of the pot winky was asking for.:hey
If I told AM to his face that I would fight him and if avoiding him meant that I would leave money on the table - I would have fought AM. BTW dont gimme this linear crap, we all know Fraud could give two shiits about real, linear titles. And thats fine, the problem I have is that one day its "if it makes dollars it makes sense". . the next day day its "if it makes linear titles it makes sense" :huh . . . cant have it both ways.
you do know that floyd fought baldomir for more money, right? and don't give me that line that floyd bought out his contract of toprank to duck margarito. thats your assumption.
Buddy, it isn't hate to point out that Hatton is a consolation prize. Even the DLH fight was like "ok, ok fine make the money, but hurry up and fight shane next".
wrong. Goosen was able to overpay Floyd for the Baldy fight cause he was to get a cut of at least his next fight (DLH). Arum was able to overpay cause Margarito was willing to take short money. Arum was on record several times as a one fight deal (not even FMJ denied the offer was a one fight deal), meaning FMJ would have been a free agent for his next (DLH). If he had fought (and beat) AM, he could have signed the DLH deal as a free agent. . . The money he paid Goosen outta the DLH purse is the price he paid to duck AM.
