    140 - Yeah probably
147 - Competitive with many but gets blown out by the greats
154 - I'm positive there are more than a few who would destroy him at this weight

you rate him on his personality

but seriously, as a lightweight, a very good fighter. beats a lot of good fighters apart from the obvious

anything above lightweight and i dont think hes got the heat to keep properly rounded fighters who can punch off him

Congratulations, you betted on the odds on favourite in The ward - Froch fight

  10. Name me some welterweight champions (real ones) that Floyd actually beats.

    Baldomir aside :-(

There are some he might win one out of a series with. I'd favour him big time against Ted Lewis, and think he'd come through some tough spells to beat McLarnin.

Ross would give him fits but Floyd is faster and sharper and would probably 'adjust' to a pot shorting gameplan and snatch that one, not certain that Ross wouldn't then adapt in his own right and show Floyd up to be the two-trick pony he is ;-)

I can see the argument for him against Gavilan but consider it an awful styles clash for Floyd. Basilio would **** him up too.

    Hearns :rofl

Out of guys that never proved themselves the definitive no.1 I'd say he'd have a good shot at outspeeding Palomino, and providing his arms don't get broken when he tries to defend Cuevas' rushes I'd pick him there too.

I can also see the argument for him against Napoles but the only advantage he has there is handspeed. Napoles via close decision.

    Griffith would outmuscle him.

LMR would completely tool him

    Welterweight JCC; I'd pick Floyd.

I hate it when I hear 'Sweet Pea Vs Floyd: what a fight'. It's a horrible mismatch!

Out of the Welterweight Fabulous Four I'd give him a shot against Benitez, but that's a very hard one to fathom, what with all the variables (Flotds dedication vs Bentez's often lackadaisical approach for one)

At 130lbs, Arguello is the GOAT. Arguello is arguably my favourite fighter. But Floyd is a horrible matchup for him and would do a Vilomar Fernandez with a more western ally pleasing punch selection to take a decision at a canter.

At Lightweight his so-called 'boxing brain' would be severely tested against the likes of Carlos Ortiz and at light welter Perkins and Locche would terrify the man.

  12. I'm not that big on Chavez personally, I think Floyd could beat him beneath 147.

What I'd really have loved to have seen from Mayweather is for him to put it all out there against a primed, dangerous opponent, to see just how special he is.

Whether that's coming from behind to secure a stoppage - Leonard vs Hearns style

Overcoming a stylistic disadvantage to win - again, Leonard vs Hearns style

Jumping on a dangerous opponent and getting rid of him early - Lewis vs Golota

I'm of the opinion that Floyd could have been seriously special, but he never really had the desire to prove it once the bucks started rolling in. Shame.

Light welter chavez, flea? Lightweight duran? Light welter Oscar?

How can anyone say Floyd has a shout when the above have done so much more.

I'd love to see ray Leonard knock Floyd out. And he would, same as Hearns would.

    Lol,

This is my problem with him.

No-one denies the ability, but he is the ultimate cherrypicker.

When Mosely was still considered dangerous he wanted no part yet is happy to fight him when he's considered over and still got clocked.

I also dispute the unbeaten tag.
