He isnt prepared for top level competion anymore. He will follow the money, not the fights that matter.

 

No risk, yet at the time of the fights.. plenty of people were saying that Gatti would knock him out, Zab would knock him out, Baldomir would knock him out, Oscar would knock him out, Hatton would knock him out... etc etc.

Hell on this very forum, I watched a legion of British fans constantly talk about how Hatton was going to destroy Mayweather. Same with Oscar.

 

To be honest, I thought Hatton would cause all sorts of trouble, DLH could have stopped him etc. Now I have been proven wrong and can't wait to see him back, the guy is is pure genius.

 

i would like to see him come back and fight pac if he beats odh.he want come back to clean out the ww division, he only would come back for big money fights.

Hopkins in that Pavlik fight was much more entertaining than Floyd. Hopkins vs Wright, that there reminds me of Floyd.

If Hopkin's fight showed anything is that he IS on the same level, just looks average when fighting the other greats of his time. Put him against a regular champ and you do have him look like Floyd looked against Hatton.

sorry cotto and shane, those two had there chances before his fight with oscar, then after that fight they could not wait to fight him.a day late and a dollar short id say.

 

A Hatton fight in England would only line their pockets the result, unfortunatley, would be identical.

 

I'd love to have Floyd back... he's the best fighter in the world.

To the people who want him to fight Pacquaio... rest assured that Floyd would deliver a clean knockout to the much smaller Pacquaio. This would be one of the worst mismatches of top fighters in history.

The guy has tremendous talent. But, he is too much of a chicken. I think he was afraid to fight margarito because margo would put too much pressure on him. Nobody ever pressured floyd seriously in a fight. He needs that to see how good he really is. The problem is that he is an egomaniac. He thinks he is so great that he doesn't need to fight anybody any more. Fight margo, then go home for good.
