Floyd Mayweather public training session @ Peackock Gym, East London - 3PM - 5PM

maybe there inside speaking to Floyd and theres big party and floyds handing out cash thats why there not answering

thank god i listened to my body..stay in bed from the night shift!

 

Lads this was the biggest piece of **** EVER. I got there at 2pm dead on. there was hundreds out there then but I thought it'd be right. Then they only let members and friends of the bouncers in. Then there was a stampede at about 4pm two lads got crushed and had to be taken inside and layed out on the couches and given water. One lad looked like he was ****ing dying. The waste of space 'doormen' wouldn't give any info out. Theres was a breif moment when they counted 3 x 10 people in and there was another stampede then of course. Floyd turned up at arond half past 4 then waltzed straight in. Never stopped to sign things even though they all knew full well those outside wasn't getting in. The shutters then got put down amid people breaking the doors windows etc etc. Then some stupid slag inside started taking pictures of all the crowd gutted outside coz they coukldn't get in. Then some man came on the balcony and informed everyone they wouldn't be getting in coz it was a members only workout. Not entirely Floyds fault I know but the set up was a disgrace from start to finish. I left at 4:50 and got back on the train to Milton Keynes after having travelled from Manchester via Milton Keynes this morning - Not Happy one bit !

Seriously lads I love Floyd more than most and its good to see him in the flesh but I really wish I hadn't bothered. It was roasting too the sun was shining down on everyone packed together like sardines, each and every man/woman/child was dripping in sweat and to prove how little info was being given out to the fans..... Nobody knew Floyd hadn't arrived until he showed up. People were believing he was already in there

 

this sounds pish/why is it ppl think boxing fans should get a bum deal?i mena think about it if you were goign to see a public training for there fav rugby or footie team i gurentee that ppl would get to see it and..

it shounds as if they have venue way wrong,and underestimated how populer this would be.a sad day for boxing ...does anyone agree

I couldnt get the time off in the end. Not that disappointed judging by the comments here. I used to train at the Peacocks and although its a fair size gym thousands of people turning up is a complete no no. Glad i didnt go as i appears i didnt miss a beat.

 

esp when you traveld all the way rrom manchester ...

Thats all a bit academic isnt it? GDP probably wouldnt have been aware of the furore it would cause nor the size of the Peacock Gym which is a very decent size. That being said it was clearly the wrong place to hold a public workout going by the numbers alone that turned up. Oh well...:blood

 

true ,but you have to let them know though...imagen if they done this again and it was done properly?if that came out as a result of ppl dropping gdb an email ,i get your point though ...but how long does it take to send an email.

 

Agreed but judging by Floyds entourage it will surely fall on deaf ears.
