Chin and heart:lol:, more like wing and drum:lol::patsch. Whatever Floyd have didn't win him the greatest fighter of this era, the fighter of the decade honor:lol:.

How impressive had ODH looked against Sturm and Hopkins? Was he viewed as a prime ODH when Mayweather fought him. Hatton had looked unimpressive at WW. Mosley had lost to Cotto, Winky and looked horrible against Mayorga. He beat Margarito then didn't fight for over a year. Why are these fighters considered ATG ranking status for Mayweather when prior to their Mayweather fight they had already been defeated or were seen as past their best. When Pacquiao beats them, they are considered Mayweather leftovers yet they were all defeated by other fighters before Mayweather. Then Clottey and Margartio are looked at as nothing just because Pacquiao faced them and not Mayweather.

He DID. He specifically said, in this order.. you need a brain, a good chin, and heart. Floyd Mayweather's recommended 3 ingredient recipe that forms the base for greatness.

Have long been saying a Chin is the most important attribute for a fighter to have. Good to see Mayweather agrees with me.

Cotto had his chance back when Mayweather was actually in his prime. Cotto was sitting ringside while Floyd dismantled Gatti and Arum wanted Cotto no where near Floyd.

You look at all the fights Floyd gets **** for not happening and they are all fighters under Arum. Once Cotto left Arum what happened? Fighters need to realize Arum robs them blind. GBP is not innocent but their fighters seem to make more money, whether thats all Haymon or not, fighters are getting paid.

Doesn't change the fact that he hadn't done anything impressive in years and had been defeated already. Hatton hadn't looked impressive against Collazo at all in his first WW fight and many felt he had lost that fight. Didn't stop Floyd from bringing him back up to WW. Mosley was at the end of his career and hadn't had a big win in years. He had a hell of a performance against a fighter in Margo that played to his strengths and all of a sudden people are making it out like it's a prime Mosley. Cotto had already been beaten by Margo and Pacquiao at a weight that he looked much more impressive at. Why are people making it out like Cotto was an ATG 154lber. He had done nothing at that weight and looked horrible against Trout. It seems like Manny is picked apart for fighting these same fighters even though they had basically looked the same coming into the Mayweather fight. With Floyd, people ignore that these fighters were all either at the end of their career or not fighting at their best weight. With Manny, they call these fighters Floyd's leftovers even though they had been defeated before Floyd came along.

But guys like Mayweather & Rigo don't have the best chins, not necessarily the best hearts either. If it was more about chin & heart then guys like Margo & Pac are better.

Mayweather has never been KD by a punch officially nor KO'd in his entire career. Do you think Pac would have been able to take the 2nd round full leveraged punches that Mayweather did against Mosley? Pac has been KO'd 2 times by head shots, and KD numerous of times. Yes he can still take a punch, but what you are saying is ridiculous, unless you are speaking solely about heart, which Pac has in abundance. But so does Mayweather, when has mayweather not fought through an injury where other fighters would find a way out? What did he show with Mosley when he got caught with that one punch and had his balance off? Did he run around that round, holding on for dear life the whole round, or did he start to come back and finish strong even though he got hurt moments later?

I'm mostly writing a response to most of the other guys in this thread, Mayweather has always had heart, always. You can't make it to where he is without it.

  12. A good Chin and Heart are vital. That is irrefutable scientific fact.

Umm, Pac has eaten punches his whole career. Aside from when he was very young, it wasn't until Marquez that Pac went down. He has been in the ring with hard punchers, great boxers, and bigger men. Yes, he could have took those shots from Mosley back then.

pacquiao has had two knockdowns from punches prior to what Marquez did to him

he took a hook that floored him

then he took a right that floored him
