    Ashishwarrior says
and where did you see this fight
did Floyd prove your point no
    your clutching at straws
you do mean in a 24foot ring which Floyd will only fight in
would it be floyds choice of ref
remember Floyd fight a prime pac cause I don't
remember him fighting a prime mosley cause I don't
remember him fighting a prime cotto cause I don't
remember him going life and death with castillio who hatton buried in 4
remember him fight a none battle scared Ortiz cause I don't and won with a cheap shot and still could not lay him out khan stylee
you having it that maidana wass many levels above margo I take it

remember him daring to be great cause I don't
remember him using iv's because I do

Where did you see yours? I do remember seeing Margo get exposed for loading his gloves his trainer being banned for life taking 8L's and getting beat within an inch of his life against Mosley. You know Mosley right? The same Mosley PBF lost one round to. I don't recall seeing PBF take a L or get beat within a inch of his life.:deal:

At the time it would have been a big win. That's why people still bring it up to this day

Instead we saw him fight Baldomir in one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever witnessed

Ok but again how much greater does it make Floyd? Top 30 All-time instead of 40? Top 20?

Margarito had beaten no one of note when "the fight would be big", I think that dumbass Cintron was his best win

Margo is a disgrace glove loading cheat stop glossing over that fact. You have to take everything he did in his career before he got busted for loading his gloves into consideration. Also after that he never beat a fighter of note. This is a guy who had to load his gloves and still was average. Maidana after he got with Garcia is much better than the earlier version so just stop it. He was a better and more complete fighter than Margo far more skilled jab defense inside fighting countering timing Margo was not skilled he was a weight drainer who relied on his size workrate and durability to beat smaller men that's it.

Yeah people said that Maidana was tailormade for him and for good reason if that cut didn't happen early in their first fight which bothered PBF he would not have lost those rounds to him. I had Maidana wining 4 rounds in that fight most of them were early when PBF was cut. In the rematch PBF didn't get cut and he damn near shut Maidana out. A prime version of PBF has an easy time with both Margo and Maidana but Maidana would give him the better fight because of his looping overhand right which causes PBF problems and his awkwardness which doesn't allow PBF to get into a rhythm easily. Margo is slow come forward guy with no defense PBF would land on his ass like rain on a hot tin roof.

Floyd works hard that is a fact.
Brother in shape year round and would still come back and clean out all currently at 147 with ease IMO

How can he be the hardest working athlete in history when he only managed 49 fights in his 19 year career?

It's not just his work ethic that is exemplary, but his knowledge of the game. That is why hardly anyone in this era touches him, he is/was almost untouchable. He actually learned from his mistakes and got better, he improved on them. He learned from Oscar and it was Floyd who took his place and became the next golden boy. From 130-135 you can't hate on him, he literally took on everyone and the elite they were very, very good fighters IN THEIR PRIME. Floyd did do similar 147-154, but unfortunately Oscar and Mosley tho they were elite, were way past their best days. With Pacquiao, he still had too many advantages over him. Can't blame him for going after the money fights, would be stupid if he didn't, but it really is sad and a pity that a fighter of his capabilities stopped challenging himself awhile back. I know it must be knawing at him, killing him inside as a fighter knowing there is finally someone like Ggg that can measure his greatness. Ggg is Mayweather's measuring stick and he knows it.

And the fight would have looked pretty much the same. Both are plodders but Baldo had better boxing ability. The fight wasn't a waste of time Baldo was lineal at 147. Who in there right mind would turn down a shot at the lineal champ of a division? Whats's funny about this is had PBF not fought Baldo people would be saying PBF ducked the lineal champ to fight a bum in Margo. People talk about Margo only because PBF didn't fight him.
