 so what if Floyd decided to call off the fight because of Pac's demand of the weight penalty? Then it's Pac's fault right?

If it wasn't in the contract the fight wasn't going to be off. Then in 2011, in Mayweather's phone-call to Pacquiao who finally agreed to blood testing, the fight was yet again called off because Mayweather demanded more money. Last minute or not, that was in the "contract" too which called it off.

Reality: Mayweather agreed to all their demands, including the $10 million per pound penalty, and they got shook. They realized Mayweather was down to kick Pacquiao's ass and they ran for the hills with their cash cow on leash.

SIGNED A FIGHT WITH A GUY COMING OFF A LOSS INSTEAD OF SIGNING THE BIGGEST FIGHT IN OVER A DECADE!!!! Actions speak louder than words in front of the media.....

now I am a fan of both guys and see the exact opposite. they had a deal ready to go but Arum walked away over random testing. after that point PBF became clearly the biggest draw and wanted the lionshare of money (when if they would have agreed 2 years earlier arum would have got 50-50). I never wanted to my favs fight anyway . . . but it was arum who did not want it to happen. besides that is all history now, who gives a ****

Oh please, now you bring that nonsense up. Pacquiao's demand there was simple and clear. If Mayweather screws up and weighs in above 147 the most highly anticipated fight in boxing(possibly in history) by ****ing far would still go on though a fee would be required. Seriously, was Mayweather not going to make weight anyway?

I have always said that both are to be blamed. Sadly, it was Mayweather who had more demands so I'll have to blame him more.

Fought a guy coming off a loss instead of signing for the biggest fight in over a decade............................... No amount of ******* nonsense changes that reality. Let me repeat that again:

FOUGHT A GUY COMING OFF A LOSS INSTEAD OF MAYWEATHER.

The people justifying that move are idiots and fanboys, plain and simple.

I hope you're not referring to the Clottey fight there. Clottey was arguably coming off a robbery(I had the fight for Cotto) against Cotto and Pacquiao got a lot of heat for not fighting the "winner" when he signed for Cotto. The Clottey fight was hardly a fight "against someone coming off a loss!".

No Pac caught heat for ducking the WW champ Mosley and taking Cotto who looked like **** against Clottey, actually.

Was Manny not going to pass those tests? What's the difference?

He was coming off an official loss. And not only that, he came off a fight where he went tooth and nail with a guy Pacquiao already knocked out!!! So it's two fold: Not only was Clottey coming off a loss, but was coming off a loss to a guy Pacquiao recently KO'd!!!!

The fact you just tried to justify that fight is hilarious. You literally just tried to make the case of why "taking the Clottey fight wasn't that bad as a step down from Mayweather."

Are you ****ing kidding me? It was the biggest fight to be made in over 10 years easily, and you give that up to fight Joshua "The Turtle" Clottey?

    Get the **** outta here.........

Oh yea, and what has Clottey done since? ****ing joke of a fight and I said that from the day it was signed. Pacquiao took on a glorified gate keeper who had never amounted to **** in his career over the biggest fight in a decade against Mayweather.

There is no excuse for that. None. Anybody defending that is a ****ing ****** I say, straight up. People on this forum need to pull their head out of their ass and say hello to reality once and a while.

Oh so Pacquiao wanted to make sure they had a fair fight. I guess that's a reasonable demand, to want a fair fight

plus it's not like Floyd didn't try to compromise on the drug testing anyways. There's no way in hell Floyd is going to scrap the drug testing idea after seeing the reaction Pacquiao had to it. If anything, it'd make Floyd want stronger testing

Major difference. You want to compare making the official weight limit with passing nonsense tests demanded independently(not officially) by the challenger?
