Was Floyd Sr. also responsible for Hatton running at Manny like an angry toddler?

Floyd Mayweather Sr is the biggest hype job in boxing history.
He has ridden the coat tails of Marquis fighters and they succumb to his antics.

He is a self proclaimed genius of the boxing sport, with very little to add after self proclaimation.

He is the biggest fraud any boxing camp has ever seen..........as evidenced by his own son who assed him out, knowing his father was a opportunist riding the coat tail of his achievments.

This is a bum who has been over publicized........whos intellectual levels pale in comparison to an eighth grader. His poems suck..........his demeanor sucks........his arrogance sucks.......his record as a boxer and a trainer suck,

This man is bad for boxing abnd clearly demonstrates his opportunistic behavior.
    LEECH COMES TO MIND.

It's time for the boxing world to let him go just like Delahoya did, just like his very own son did, just like team Hatton WILL DO.

This man has made millions being an over hyped leech with nothing to offer any fighter other than a reality check.

If not for his son.........he'd be peddling all his belongings down the street in a grocery cart while sucking down a bottle of ripple along the way.

    I'm sorry for Floyd Jr.
I understand his reasoning.....and the best thing he can do is distance himself from this self centered ******.

Floyd Jr did the right thing..............when will the boxing world do the same?

Ricky didn't do anything Sr taught him. he didnt listen either.

How can you blame Sr when a fighter think he knows more than the trainer?

The bottom line is Hatton didn't execute the game plan Floyd Sr. had for him. For months we heard that Ricky had learned defense. Learned to move his head and not charge in over aggressively.

I thought Ricky would adhere to this strategy for at least the first 5-6 rounds and stay fairly even in the fight.

Instead, The Hitman rushed in believing he could simply overpower a man who turned out to be not that much smaller than the alleged "bigger fighter." Ricky never had a chance in this one. If he would've stuck to what Floyd tried to teach him, he could've stayed in the fight and maybe stuck around long enough to land something substantial.

Either way, in the end it is on the fighter win or loss. Floyd likes to make a scene and hype the fight and flame his ego. Hatton knew what he was getting and it would've paid off. It turns out you can't teach a 30 yr-old fighter stuff he should've learned when he was an amateur.

Please do explain Sr's predictions then.
While you're at it explain this.

"Since I've been training Ricky HE HAS LEARNED THIS AND THAT.
He was this BUT NOW """"THANKS TO ME"""""" HE IS THAT.

Before me Ricky would have done this """"""""BUT THANKS TO ME""""""""" he is a different fighter and understands he's to do it my way.
This followed by some stupid 3rd grade poem.

The guy shows up 5 minutes before the fight starts.
He makes attention before the fight screaming about how hes underpaid and not appreciated.
He's a joke, a loser, a pathetic father, and an opportunist.

Remind you of anyone you know Eze?

Who is this mystic trainer you are speaking of? I saw no Mayweather tonight. I could be-and often am -wrong.
I am a simple man, was FMS working for free?..as a favour? as an employee, or the star?...and for the conspiratorial boys out there, as a trojan horse for his baby boy.. who now has an obvious squiddilion dollar fight with the guy that daddy's fighter couldn't beat. Daddy loves his little boy!

Hatton had no game plan, other than " if Manny throws a punch, try and deflect it with your face and then hammer his body. Failing that just let him smash you on the jaw". Genius. I could do that for a fraction of the cost. (not only cheap but clueless. a double positive for the promoters). Sorry, I've ranted on for too long...back to the 15 year old malt...:)

I can't believe you're defending the guy, he's a total *******. Nothing against him personally, but that's what he is. Even Roger has more class than him.

Floyd Sr. wasn't going to turn Hatton into a skilled boxer/brawler in two fights. Hatton needed more time, but Hatton is just overrated.

Ricky also reportedly fired his trainer before the fight.

What do you want Sr to do?

    Ricky thinks he knows better.

Nah, I still think Floyd is a great trainer. It comes down to this: Ricky was alone in the ring tonight and he lost, just him, not anyone else. He lunged in being too aggressive, due to what? We'll never know, maybe he was having last minute doubts, or maybe he was so confident that he thought he could just throw Pac around like a rag doll. As for Floyd bragging and talking up the fight, he's a loudmouth plain and simple. But not a bad trainer.

Hatton will be Hatton. I don't remember FMS telling Ricky to drop your hands, throw wild punches and lead with your chin. Hatton did not adhere to a single thing he had been tought. He fought a stupid fight against a P4P fighter and he paid for it. Not a FMS fan but I can't blame him for the loss.
