Give it up. It seems everyone else call sit like it actually was. Fact is Hatton got in that ring and ignored every thing Floyd taught him. He fought like he did under Billy Graham and got exposed, quickly. I thought he might have won too but the boy dun listen!
Then there's no need for ANY PROFESSIONAL MARQUIS FIGHTER to hire him EVER AGAIN............. That is what you're saying, right? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT O'VE BEEN SAYING..........SO WE AGREE
As much as agree with your general tenure, why should the fighter be alone? Surely the trainer could have told him to cover up in Round 2 and regain some composure. Some would call it "doing your job" or "earning your corn". Having said that, I doubt that it would have made much difference to the final outcome. The better boxer won.
Look theres's no point blaming Floyd Sr! The fact is that Hatton was shown up tonight for being one dimensional and a hot head who just rushes in regardless of who he's facing! Even if Floyd Sr had of shown him skills, its clear he didn't learn them and certainly didn't execute them! If u backed Hatton don't feel bitter! There's no person in the world Ricky would rather lose to than Pacman! He's a phenomenon and most of all a great person! I predicted Pacman on points because I truly believd that Hatton was going to be composed! The fact is he was totally outclassed in every deparment and should call it a day!
I agree...........the fighter lost. The trainer had nothing to do with the loss. The trainer only matters if the fighter wins, right? Had the fighter won.............praise to Mayweather Sr. How the hell do you know Hatton ignored Mayweather Sr? Is there a SCRIPT showing what Mayweather Sr said between rounds 1 and 2? Or a script showing anything in his life that he actually accomplished other than being a supreme ipportunist??????? The fact remains that having Floyd Mayweather Sr in your training camp does not a win make. AND THIS WAS PROVEN TONIGHT. What say you now?
Quit blaming Mayweather Sr. Hatton totally forgot every damn thing Sr. taught him as soon as he set foot in the ring. Head movement? The only head movement Hatton did was when Pacquiao bounced his head off the canvas like a basketball. Look at Pacquiao- he started out pretty much the same way as Hatton- a straight ahead pressure fighter. The difference is Pac was willing to learn. Everything Freddie Roach taught him he executed to perfection. Defense, head movement, right hand, in-n-out, footwork. He became an all around fighter. So don't blame the teacher. blame the student for failing to learn a damn thing.
Sorry The whisky has had the desired effect! I just replied to the entirely wrong post!...LOL Thank you anyway, you are too kind. :nut
No ones blaming Sr for Hatton losing the fight. I AM blaming the media for hyping this bum as a god like trainer who transforms average men into fighting machines. He's a lousy trainer who's now eating all his words and predictions and backpeddling like you wouldn't believe after rambling about all the things he taught hatton and how this would win him the fight........and secure his legacy as an all time great trainer. 0 That's wat he is - a 0
Ricky couldnt handle Floyd telling him the truth. No matter who was in his corner the result would never change. He just isnt good enough.
I am! Well not entirely. But I do feel he has to take his bumps for this tactically inept performance. I accept that the trainers can only do so much. But surely they are more effective if they are actually there.
Floyd has no clue on how to be a trainer besides the usual pad routine, etc. I have a feeling that this guy is just loud and lives off of his son's name. He's the kind that goes "I'm an elite trainer, you are wrong, I'm right". I'm also convinced he tries to act like the tough trainer by giving his fighters totally idiotic tasks like running a random number of miles (just an example). The fighters probably think it's a joke, but maybe they go "ok, this guy is supposed to be an elite trainer, let's do it". I can picture him saying something to Hatton and Hatton going "wtf" then says something to Mayweather, and Mayweather drops one of his usual lines "you know nothing about boxing, do it".
Agreed.........then why pay a BUM who is the self proclaimed greatest trainer in boxing.......1 million dollars? Or whatever the bum made. Do any of you here think Floyd Mayweather Sr is worth a million dollars? Look at him! Listen to him! Why on earth would any professional fighter hire him if not his being Mayweather Jr's father? The guy is an opportunistic leech..........dont be blind.
bump again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way...............where was the self proclaimed greatest boxing trainer of all time?
