That amateur style is actaully called EXCITING style which boxing fans like. Not the running **** style that PBF probably calls professional style. atsch
Floyd is talking about how Pac fights when you hit him back. When Pac is in with an inferior fighter, PAc looks superb. When matched with an equal, Pac... at times looks amateurish. Floyd Sr. probably went overboard saying he fights like an amateur, but he sees flaws in Pac as I do, but Hatton isn't the man to beat Pac. Basically I think what Floyd is saying is that Pac throws like 6-8 punches in a row at times....letting go with both hands because Floyd Sr. thinks PAc can't fight inside. At times it does look amateurish. Pac uses his physical gifts, and hasn't slowed down yet. Every great/fast fighter has to fight flat footed one day. Hatton fans are hoping Hatton can slow Pac down to a stand still, and turn the fight into a pier 6 brawl, and I still think PAc wins that kind of fight as well.
I'd like to know what Floyd thinks of Manny's power. Is that amateurish too? Its a dig on pac but we all know Pac isn't the perfect boxer. You just don't knock down 10 straight opponents punching like an amateur.
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't, but the fight was a draw. Many judges don't like to score 3 knockdowns in a round 10-6, so the scoring mistake that was admitted didn't mean much. Check the history of this sport and certain fights where a guy went down 3 times and you will see that 3 knockdowns in a round was scored 10-7. Imo, I think their two fights is tied 1-1. Pac won the first fight in my book without the admitted scoring error.
Hatton is in his prime. Only the guys who have fought since they were 15 like Barrera and Morales were called "over the hill" after they lost to Pac. Dlh was old too...keep it real!
