Lots of hate in this thread, but not much reasonable debate offering viable alternatives. That generally means, I lost so I will spam you. You are right. Mayweather Sr., and his brother are two of the best trainers of this era. When Mayweather retires or perhaps even before, his father & Uncle's elite trainer status will become more apparent as many of the incoming up and coming boxers, today only known for being punchers like GGG, Kovalov, Wilder, and others seek to enhance their skills with good sound foundations and fundamentals and seek out the Mayweathers to help them. We have already seen this with oscar, Hatton and others. Believe me, soon their will be plenty more to come.
I have no idea how you still have thread making capabilities on this forum. He did a good job with Ricky Hatton and Broner though :rofl
I rank Naazim Richardson higher as a trainer than the Mayweathers. He's making history along with BHOP. Right after his lose, Kelly Pavlik should have gone over to Naaz. Pascal would have been better off with him also to get his fundamentals in order and straighten out those punches.
I don't know much of his training abilities but to me it seems like he's a 1 trick poney, he can only coach the defensive style. Doesn't seem great at strategizing for his fighters strengths or opponents weaknesses. I remember watching an oscar fight where he played around with the Philly shell and had no success, oscar realised this and reverted back to his old self and scored the ko. In short I don't rate mayweather sn as a trainer.
