He is a clown, but Ricky didn't listen to him... I don't think he could even if he wanted to..

anyways, Hatton has hinted that it was a preparation problem, I wouldn't be surprised to see him blame Floyd Sr in the near future... just like that Sky Sports writer who said Ricky ONLY lost because of Floyd Sr.

Mayweathers training didn't help any. SR was suppose to fix Hatton's technical flaws from fighting with Graham for so long. Like throwing wide punches, dropping his hands, etc. Hatton still was doing the same things.

Which is exactly why I was sick to the back teeth of Floyd's attention whoring. Even Freddy got a little playful, but the man is a serious trainer.

And I believe he was bang on about Hatton's inability to adapt. For Hatton to turn into the boxer Floyd wanted would defy boxing logic.

one of these days you guys will realize once the bell rings..all the **** you have learned with your "new trainer" cant unwind 20 plus years of old styles..... ricky is a brawler....and sometimes you cant change that

I think that Ricky was listening to Floyd Sr. but wasn't able to understand him.

Hatton admitted he went back to his roots there and got KO'd.

It wasnt a smart move hiring mayweather snr, hatton would never have won this fight if he would have used the basic defensive slick style mayweather taught him in such a short period.
Admittedly he would have lasted longer but he would not have won. it takes years to master new styles.
ROach said it right, hatton had more chance of winning using his old tactics, of course with them tactics there was always the chance of him getting ko'd but still at least there was a chance of him winning.

hatton and mayweather is a bad partnership from the start, ricky seemed hypnotised by him at the start and thoroughly pissed off with him at the end.

mayweather is far too self-obsessed to be a great trainer to most people let alone hatton, who needs a dedicated trainer.someone who isobsessed with hatton, rather than the other way round would surely be more suited?:huh

i know that ricky is somewhat stuck in his ways ,but i'm sure that he still has a few good fights left if he can find the right man-and a brave one!

it seems that the mayweather vein of self-osession runs through the family!:yep

its not about trainers its about fighters intelligence... in the Pac DLH fight the Golden boy has Nacho Beristains and Angelo Dundee in his corners and that didn't make a change in that fight De la Hoya was the one who wasn't throwing any punches or trying to defend himself... so don't blame Mayweather Sr. i don't like him but its not his fault

Regardless, I think Pac is just too good for Ricky no matter what, too fast & too powerful.

In no he got 'ktfo' but wether the fight lasted two rounds or 10 it dont mata he wuda lost. Admitted more head movement was needed but he had more chance of winning slugging.
